MLB 08: The Show Opening Day Rosters Released

To get any sort of rosters on your PS3 using a flashdrive (or other memory device):

Unzip the folder if you haven't already. You can use WinZip or WinRAR to do this.

1. Create a folder on the memory device named 'PS3'
2. Inside the PS3 folder, create another folder named 'SAVEDATA'
3. Put Chodite's unzipped folder (named 'BCUS98141_ROST_00000000856FDA0D') into that SAVEDATA folder
4. Plug flashdrive into PS3
5. Go to 'Save Data Utility' in the Game section of the PS3's main menu (XMB)
6. Scroll to your memory device, hit triangle over the roster file and select 'Copy'

As an aside, we could really use a sticky on how to transfer rosters and such. I know we don't want to start giving just any topic a sticky; but this comes up more and more often and will just pick up again when Knight & Jim's rosters come out.

I did find out if you change Glendon Rusch's comentary name to Rush, bigger than life he get the real Rusch's face.

I've tried changing a few other guys names and for some reason they end up with Derek Jeter's head.

Like the dude on the Reds everyone is talking about.

Fukudome's face changes for the better.

I tried downloading the roster for the PSP but I only get the March 31st update.

I don't think elbow guards were apart of the bug.

the bug only effected...

*Wristbands
*Forearm bands
*Sleeves

Nothing else was bothered.

Hmm...okay, you are correct. Schumaker has an elbow guard. However, he doesn't have wristbands. In the March 31 update, he does. So your file has the same bug.

There was no Fukudome commentary name available nor was his first name.
That was the best I could find from the list of available options

Ahh I see.
Luckily I'm not too concerned about wristbands and sleeves. And the response we got from SCEA sounds like another week for a fix. Unfortunately a lot of folks do care about those things. Definitely a bummer for them.

Anywho, on with my franchise!!
