Is there ANYWAY to stop stealing??

Ok so I just played a pretty good game against someone in one of the lobbies...he was the red sox and i was the Angels..now first off let me state that I realize that the angels catcher isnt the best in the bigs......Everytime Coco Crisp got on base which he had 3 singles, I knew he was gonna try and steal with him so I did a few pick off moves just to try and keep him close then after i seen he didnt even lead off more then the automatic lead off I decided to do a pitch out and try my luck.........sure enough he went and I threw it to 2nd soon as it hit my catchers glove and coco still beat it out with EASE! this happened all 3 times he got on base!! Is there any other way of preventing this cheezy stealing that happens everytime I play online?? its really drivin me crazy..seems like anyone with DECENT speed rating is guaranteed 2nd nomatter what......I mean I PITCHED OUT AND HE WAS STILL SAFE.........good lord what is this world comin to lol

It's truly a fault in the default roster of this game. Advantage to the runner, BIG TIME.

I never play a guy unless I check out his PLAYER CARD first. If he's played 50 games, has 96 steals and thrown out 23, then I know he RUNS ALL THE TIME. I just won't play against these guys, period.

Yea I seen you said that in a previous post on some other thread and since then I started checkin the steal stats, only problem with that is everyone has ridiculous steal number so I just went with the guy with the lowest number lol.....And its not even just the stealing, its people take advantage of every lil problem in the game.

Steez3,
I actually have a little time to play you now. That way I can vouch for you. I only have time for a 3 inning game, but that would be enough.

It's all about pitching out. If you learn early on the guy steals EVERY time, then start pitching out.

My biggest problem is I start holding to throw to 2nd base way too soon, and when it changes camera my catcher just stands there.

Ah yes... I have that same problem too... I just have to get myself calmed down and throw it when I should... I know it's hard though when you KNOW the dude is gonna steal...

FYI, you might want to go back and read his post over again, he did throw out and was still beaten to second.
