What game difficulty/settings for standard ranked games?

Basically I want to know if you are forced to aim the L-stick to get a base hit. I have heard people saying things like, "I never use the L-stick and I get solid base hits all the time." I'm not down with that.

Also, are you free to change camera views online? I don't like behind-pitcher cam, can I get the same behind batter view for both offense and defense? Thanks guys.

same cam all the time (behind batter) you dont HAVE to use the stick.
