Graphics/Stadium and Fan Feedback

As you can see for MLB 09 The Show we added a lot in the ways of stadium, team, and fan specific graphical items. For MLB 2010 The Show we're looking to implement even more graphical additions/sounds of the stadium and fan specific items (Cheers, signs, events, etc). The things we're looking for can be specific or it can be just about anything that you as a fan see at your stadium or the team you root for. Here are a few examples to get you started:

1) Jumbotron animations / videos within the stadiums
2) Fan chants / actions within stadium
3) Special sounds (Bell, breaking glass, etc) within the stadium and what event they're tied to
4) Mid inning or special events (Races, home run events, etc)
5) Special billboard/scoreboard/jumbotrons or details of a stadium we may have missed.
6) Accuracy of stadium, day or night

These are just a few ideas and should in no way stop you from posting something that doesn’t fit into a category. Please be as detailed as you can! When playing MLB 09 please let us know if we may have missed anything in the way of graphical looks within a stadium or fan specific items. We are working to make MLB 2010 The Show even better graphically and with your feedback it will be more accurate than ever.

There is an out of town scoreboard in left field at citi field and also I'm sure you know this but the walls should be dark green and at yankee stadium the walls should be dark blue but you did a fantastic job going off of what you had for those two stadiums. I'm sure next year you'll have the stadiums correct but than target field will probably be wrong but thats life.

Two things to add here and you have it nailed, weather, and retractable roofs for the appropriate stadiums, also the same lighting effects you have for the night games lets get that for the day games. Great game cant wait to see next years!

I would also like to see the dot race at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and Fireworks after home runs.

The giant Coke bottle on the roof at Turner Field along with the giant Chick-Fil-A cow.

Wrigley Field:

"Go Cubs Go" after a win
a lot of organ playing (Wrigley doesn't really play music that often)
chants- "FU-KU-DOME clap clap clap-clap-clap" "lets go cubbies"
the song YMCA during visitor pitching change
Miller lite billboard on sheffield
team flags above scoreboard


and please remove the invisible barriers in replay mode.. it limits beautiful shots =D

How about the corect light sequencing on the scoreboard at US Cellular Field following home runs and wins...and oh yeah, as long as you're in there...how about the FIREWORKS!!!! And for the love of god, please get those spinning pinwheels outta there....the lights flash to simulate the spinning guys!

I'll be sure to bring the camera along to the Cell this year again to capture all the little things about it.

Oh, also, the out of town scoreboard as it appears in 09 is no longer correct, it's been replaced by a giant video scoreboard...again pics & videos to follow!

FENWAY

- In left field, the "trailer boxes" that were installed on the top level have been removed and there are now just seats along with a Coca Cola sign above them:

- The coke bottle on the light tower is gone.

- There is a distinct deep red line on top of the Green Monster that indicates a HR.

- Though you cannot create the famous Citgo sign, making some sort of sign that looks similar would be cool. The citgo is illuminated at night and animates with the triangle lighting up, then the citgo name, then the whole sign and this just repeats constantly.

- The large round Gulf sign in the left field corner (again, something that looks similar)

- All three banner ads on tp of the Green Monster seats are the same green

- in the 7th inning the fans sing a LOUD and spirited version of Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. Perhaps just allow us to be able to play custom music at certain parts of the games so we can insert that?

- The "Lets Go Red Sox" chant in Fenway is DEAFENING and can go through an entire at-bat or inning depending on the opponent and situation.

- Wally waves a huge Red Sox flag pre-game as the players are taking the field.

- in night games, fans are allowed to sit in the covered black batters eye section of the centerfield corner. During day games it is covered.

- the majority of ads on the wall behind and around homeplate are simple white text/logos (like you have "The Show" written on the upper level)

Well first off, Citizens Bank Park looks great as it is but here's a fairly comprehensive list of additions that could be made for next year. Please excuse the incredibly large red circles, just wanted to make sure everything was as clear as possible

Added LED boards - these were added for the '08 season and run down both the 1B and 3B sides of the field below the suites


Also, here's what the graphics usually look like on the video boards inside the RF wall (pitchers info is on the screen near the power alley, minor league scores on the one nearest the foul line)


And here is what the top portion of the main scoreboard looks like during the game

In regards to Ashburn Alley in CF, there are championship flags atop the buildings (red for WS champs, blue for NL champs, white for division championships)


Also, the clock advertisment has a new design

And cameras should be shown as in the photo below

This Gulf ad was attached to the second deck in LF last year

And finally, the Phillies don't have any sort of races like the sausages or presidents etc... But the Phanatic does have a hot dog shooting cart that he brings out once a game (normally in the 5th or 6th)


That's all I can think of for now, the stadium is pretty much spot on as it is. These are all just little touches of course. I will try and post anymore that I can find as the season starts out and I can actually get into the ballpark again!
