I saved the Daytona race last night, I'm trying to get a video of the last lap, but I forgot the process that I used last time(I have re-installed windows since the last time I did those videos), so I have to relearn it now and fraps/virtual dub/divx is not cooperating with me. lol

Funny because my spotter from Alabama said I won.

Did SupaJames get a black flag, I wonder?

I think it gave him the black flag because he went backwards on the track after he crossed the finish line.

no, it's from Dragon Age: Origins. it wouldn't make any sense if you haven't played the game, even if I told you who it was.

I think I finally got the video stuff all working, but it doesn't seem to be record/compression to the quality it used to. oh well.

Re: NASCAR 2003 Season - OS Server Racing

ok, here is a video of the last at Daytona from last night. it is from the spectator cam positioned on my car. a late caution forced a restart on the last lap of the race. basically the race ended with a 1 lap dash. I was driving the #43 car and restarted in 12th after pitting(thanks to Greg Biffle knocking me into the grass).

*at the time of post, video was still processing, so quality may not be good until that is completed*

Thanks, Chad! What tool did you use?

I never saw you coming! I was trying not to wreck James and just hold on to a top 3 finish!

This Daytona track is bit unrealistic since the draft and day to night transition was a fail! We'll have to find a better Daytona. Either way though, good times.

Simply love this Mod!

I used Fraps to capture the video from the game, then used Virtual Dub to compress the video(the raw video was over 800MB!) to size that would be better suited for youtube(I just used a divx codec). for some reason, youtube cut off the last 2-3 seconds though. the original video went a little further after the finish line. still not sure what I did differently this time than with the other videos. the quality just seems to be a little lower.

I think the draft was over the top because we were using the CTS physics version of the mod. I believe the draft effect is higher with the CTS physics.

I went backwards when I was doing my burnouts and it black flagged me, I think.

Good times tonight!

If you guys are on tomorrow night, I might be able to join you.

I really think we need to try and get comfortable with the cup physics on this one. It just feels like the cts is more of a drafting physics( for obvious reasons) and if we are looking for better results, then we need to just bite the bullet and move up.

Well, the draft is a pain but the last two races (Daytona and Lowes) have been good finishes. I almost caught Chad last night at Lowes but I couldn't pass without wrecking him.

But let's try CUP physics and see how it goes.
