Re: OS Fantasy Cup - Final Week - Ford 400

Awesome race so far tonight.

Johnny Benson is 6th, Ron Hornaday is 13th. Hornaday just pit for tires, and Benson stayed out, but he also very old left side tires. Whoever finishes in front, wins the title, it's going to be a great final 5 laps.

So much for needing a "Chase".

EDIT: Caution flag. Going to be a GWC. Benson is still in front, but only 2 cars between them.

EDIT:2 Awesome race.

What's ironic is that the "Chase-less" Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series have tighter championships going into the final race than the Sprint Cup.

I like the Chase in some ways and in others I don't. I hate that Kyle Busch's dominance of the season pretty much went to the wayside since he lost his huge lead (Just like how Jeff Gordon lost his huge lead last year), but then I like how it tightens things up. Also, I wish they would somehow mix up the race tracks since it benefits someone like Jimmie Johnson who is good at the one-and-a-half milers. I know there's really no way they can do that, though. Plus, statistically, Jeff Gordon would have a Sprint Cup Championship in 2004 and 2007 if we still went by the old points system!

Good race tonight and congratulations to Johnny Benson!!!

Re: OS Fantasy Cup - Final Week - Ford 400

Man that was a great truck race.....I though that Ron got the shaft on the last restart. Benson's teammate slowed Ron intentionally and that bordered on being chicken****. IMO.

That took away from the race a little if you ask me. It would have been banging door handles on the last lap if the cheap tactic's had not been used.

I like both guys.......I'm just disappointed that the fastest truck didn't get a fair chance due to "team orders"

Good luck to all on Sunday and thanks for another great year !!!

I'd agree with you if I thought any other teammate wouldn't have done the exact same thing. But I think everybody else would have done the exact same thing, I know Kevin Harvick would have if the situations were reversed, so it doesn't really bother me.

Ron lost that Championship himself by driving in too hard into T1 of the race last week. Had he not done that and bent the truck up, he'd be celebrating a Championship right now.

Good Nationwide race today. Carl Edwards won, but it has to be disappointing knowing that he lost the Championship. He did all he could do, but Clint Bowyer did all he needed to do to win the Title.

Ans so it begins, the beginning of the end. After Kyle wins today, and I walk away with the championship, I won't know what to with myself until February.........

Re: OS Fantasy Cup - Final Week - Ford 400

Congrats Paint !!!

It was a great year.....I'm proud to have made the chase with a field this tough. (even though I did nothing once I got there)

Hope we all make it back for Daytona next year.

Thanks again to all those who make this happen !!!
