Trying to save money. They're already talking like GM and Ford might have to pull out of NASCAR, this is just one more way to help them out.

Rick Hendrick said it costs about $100,000 a day to test. If teams are testing 15 days a year in Nascar tests, plus all the individual tests they do, that could add up quickly.

This is the final race ever (most likely) of the Craftsman Truck Series, since it will now be the Camping World Truck Series. It's going to be hard to talk about "tough trucks" (like they always advertise) with Camping World as your sponsor since Craftsman went along better IMO.
