Don't worry, Blue. I'm there with you, brother!

Also, last night I realized that there is a way to mandate no Rep points in a race. In the menu before the race, you can highlight each driver in the room and see how many rep points they have. If we ever decide to run a no rep races that's how we can pre-race inspect!

I think I am going to run the challenges all over again, but this time allocate the rep points after testing to each car style to make for a realistic season/career mode.

I want to make sure that this doesn't happen to me. I'm almost at 201 wins, and I don't want to lose all of my progress. Was there anything that you were doing when this occurred? Are there any steps to keep this form happening? So, Autosave was on? Has anyone seen it with autosave turned off?

Thanks for the heads-up about this, but, now I'm kinda spooked about playing the game, and losing all of my saved data.

Folks are suggesting to go out and buy a memory card and save your progress now, while your save is ok. Continue playing the game off your hard drive save. If the profile goes bad, load the memory card save. This seems to work as an interim solution. Good luck!

Well, seems like EA is getting a little bad press so maybe they will respond.

WTF is going on at EA Sports? First came the manifold glitches and problems in NCAA 09, now we're seeing accounts of corrupt profiles forcing Xbox 360 racers to ditch their gamesaves and start all over.

After reaching a certain level of progress — the theory is cumulative laps driven, as it's struck gamers at differing points in their careers — the profile becomes corrupted and freezes the game right at the load screen. There is no other way to play the game except to delete the file and start all over. You can see a video of it here — but it takes 7 minutes to explain what was just said above. There is, however, a swell parakeet whistling in the background.

Of course, using a memory stick and disabling auto-save is one workaround. That doesn't help anyone who had no idea he'd bought a defective game and finds out about this after putting 20 or 30 hours worth of effort into it.

Reader S.H. (who tipped us here) says EA Sports is not responding to forum posts, emails or any calls for help (which the video helpfully points out). No wonder they're putting Peter Moore's face into a boxing game. That'll probably crash, too.

Seriously, EA Sports, why is it amateur hour all of a sudden? What the **** is the matter with you people?

Well apparently, the EA NASCAR boards are filled with livid people and rightly so. Apparently, the glitch appears after X number of laps are driven. And also, supposedly, a patch is anticipated in approximately 4-6 weeks.

While a patch would be good, does it really have to come to this?
