they have templates in Photoshop and Paint.Net (a free Windows based paint program) and you then import them via EASportsWorld.com and load them in game. There's a in-game paint program too, but it's easier for people to use photoshop or whatnot.

Its just a 14 day trial, unless you don't mind changing the date on your pc each time you start up the program.

There's a free 3d program called Anim8or that I used for the car pic I posted. Works pretty well for something simple like this.

Oh my God. I thought that was a real car at first.

I want that car, and this game, so bad now.

I tried and tried and couldn't get Anim8or to work with Vista, so I'm stuck changing the date every time I boot up AC3D.

I need to take a picture of the AC3D pic of one of my cars and then take a digital pic of the same car on tv (like Terry did) to show a comparison. Its a real testament to the guys at EA for how well they implemented this feature. They look lifeless on AC3D, but look perfect in the game. Kudos to EA Sports.

Re: NASCAR 09 Custom Car Thread

I made the 88 Menards' truck in a few tonight just messing around. If I could figure how to spin and light my model in AC3D I would take a screen.

How do you load a texture in Anim8or? I can load the object, but have no clue what to do after that...I got the demo one working and my car looks good there, but I'd prefer a free option if I can get it working...Can't seem to get Anim8or to take the DDS file

Goto that thread, there are detail instructions on how to do just that.
