G25 is the best "cheap" wheel you can get in my opinion, so you can't go wrong there.

Yes, 7 tracks. 3 ovals, 3 road courses, and Lowe's, which comes with both ovals and road courses. You get the Solstice as the rookie road course car, and the Legends car as the rookie oval car.

This is probably what you saw with regards to subscriptions, or if not, this tells you how much you get with each.

Yep that was it.. dunno why I couldn't find it this time around. Thanks

Hopefully down the road I'll upgrade to the G25.. currently using Logitech's Driving Force GT set, it gets the job done but the pedals are cheesy for sure. I think the GT wheel was molded after the G25 and lacks 1 FF motor?

Re: iRacing

I've heard good things about the actual DFP GT wheel, but the pedals seem to be the weak spot. I think if you could purchase a decent set of pedals (which aren't really cheap), you could use those with the wheel and have a pretty nice setup.

Re: iRacing

Ok so right now the computer I have has 512 MB of Ram a 2.00 Ghz Processor and a 256 MB Video Card.

If I get my invite tommorow should I go ahead and get my one month to see if I like it and try to run it, or wait until I get my new computer to run it. I have a FF wheel I can use, but its not too great compared to the G25. I really don't like the Microsoft 360 wheel, but I can use it if necesary. So should I get the month as soon as I can or wait until I get my new computer setup, which will probably be at the end of month.

This is the specs that I'm an currently looking at for my new comp

Intel 2.4 Processor x2 (its a dual core)
4 GB of Ram
Evga Geforce 8800 GT 1 GB Video Card

512mb of RAM might be a problem. Not sure what the minimum req is, but 512 sounds low. Depends what kind of 256mb video card it is, is it an 8800gt or 8600gt? If so, you should be fine.

512mb is somewhat low, 1.0gb would be the minimum for me imo.

As for the E-mail, my box is empty. I'll check it again after I get back from the lake

Like was said above, the only thing that really bothers me is the ram. I have heard of people running the sim on very low spec computers, with everything turned down/off, but I'm not sure if I'd even find that worthwhile.

I'd probably wait if you're sure you'll be getting a new computer soon.

Re: iRacing

Specs
Quote:
• Windows XP or Windows Vista
• Hyperthreaded Intel CPU, AMD Athlon 64 CPU, or any dual-core CPU
• 128MB Pixel Shader 2.0 (ATI 9700Pro or nVidia 6600 or better); 256 MB Pixel Shader 3.0 (ATI X1600 or nVidia 6800 GT/GS or better recommended) graphics adapter
1 GB RAM
• 3Gb free hard disk space

Like Chaos said, you can run the game but you'd have to sacrifice some things to play..miss out on some subtle things at times
