The '12 Kings are a far, far better team than the '03 Ducks. The Ducks were an overmatched squad who lived and died with Giguere; in 21 playoff games, Anaheim outshot their opponents exactly once. If anything, they much more closely resemble this year's Coyotes than the Kings.

The '03 Devils had probably the worst set of forwards I've ever seen on a Cup-winning team but were ridiculously strong on D (Niedermayer, Stevens, Rafalski, White). The strength of the current Devils are their forward corps, whereas New Jersey's D are about as no-name as you get.

Also, I expect this series to be approximately 1000x more entertaining than Ducks/Devils, which was dull beyond belief.

Yeah, if it's one thing, I expect this Finals to be damn entertaining. And I guess, thats all I can ask for.

I've decided to pull for New Jersey.

If Parise wins a Cup, he might be more likely to want to come home to Minnesota and build something with the Wild!

Series starts tomorrow. I think it's a great matchup. I still believe the Devils are outmatched but they play such a good team game that feasts on the oppositions mistakes. The way they dismantled PHI still has me wondering what the hell happened.

Meanwhile, LA is supremely talented and only now has finally hit their stride. It worries me though, that it took this long. That's why I believe that NJ wins this one. They're going to be patient and disciplined and outlast the Kings.

I'm not rooting for either team, I just want exciting hockey, give me as many overtimes as possible

Devils in 7.

I think either Eastern Conference team would have been a fun matchup to watch against the Kings, who sometime in the second round looked like they were on a beeline for the Finals.

This is going to be a great series for the hockey fan. The ratings might not be that great, so there will be the naysayers popping up. But we don't have any worries about coverage for the foreseeable future.

It's fun to want nice things, but we can just go ahead and put that notion to bed.

7OTs please, I don't think either Devils fans nor Kings fans can handle it though lol.

Also Parise may have been raised in Minnesota, but he's signing with Toronto. I mean come on, he was a leafs fan

That wasn't even close to his most egregious "eff you" to his home state. He played his college hockey for the Sioux.

He'll complete the betrayal when he picks Hockeytown over the State of Hockey.

While I'm pulling for the Kings, I'm predicting the Devils win in 6. Gov. Fatso will throw a parade in downtown Newark...20 people will attend.
