A very famous beer bar here in LA, Blue Palms Brewery in Hollywood, just tweeted this:

Haha I don't #bandwagoner

JK, I watch it as much as I catch tennis or the other nitch sports, I'm shocked at reading positive posts from you throughout this thread

That is until you took your inevitable shot at LAers

LA has been playing the best team hockey I've seen out of any of the playoff teams. It's been refreshing [as opposed to the basketball team]

Their decision to go to the youth movement with Schenn, Couturier, etc, and making way for Giroux to become the face of the team were not bad moves IMO. However, handing Ilya Bryzgalov a 9-year contract with a no-movement clause....
I was looking at it in more of the "Flyers are borderline cursed" aspects.

I've been impressed by pretty much all of the new guys except for Bryz and Schenn, Schenn especially.

If your GM gives a goalie a 9 year contract, your team deserves to be cursed.

Quick is great and all, but I would rather not go over 5 years when signing a goalie. That's just me though, who knows in negotiations the player's agents might want a long deal if they have all the leverage. Also, If I'm giving a goalie a 9 year contract, it's Carey Price

As a Kings fan I don't care how long of a deal they give Quick, as long as they get a deal done. I know I'd be very upset if he went somewhere else after next season.

Can't imagine Quick goes anywhere after next year. Not after this playoff performance.

There IS too much danger, however, in throwing a bunch of years and cash "based" on a playoff run. I put that in quotes because it's not like he's a garbage goalie or anything to begin with.
