Oh, Columbus. Poor, poor Columbus.

Edmonton becomes the second team in league history to ever have three consecutive first overall selections. The first team was the Quebec Nordiques (RIP).

2012 NHL Entry Draft Top 5

1 - Edmonton Oilers
2 - Columbus Blue Jackets
3 - Montreal Canadiens
4 - New York Islanders
5 - Toronto Maple Leafs

Hall, Eberle, RNH, Yakupov .... I think I posted that before hmm

Edit: Is Tambellini still going to be their GM? If so, they'll be picking #1 for next 5 years, well not really but close.

I'd assume so. Dude has to be the luckiest SOB of all-time.

Here's the big question though: do they trade the pick?

You can't go wrong either way, but I think if they can get good enough value and NHL-ready guys back, it's something to consider.

You can't go wrong either way, but I think if they can get good enough value and NHL-ready guys back, it's something to consider.
If they get offered something great, you have to consider it. Start with young goalie and young DMen. However I would just draft Yakupov.
