yeah, what a strange game. i believe toronto had a 37-13 shots on goal advantage at one point during the game...but montreal kept hanging around. PP's were big...

Komi played like a freaking child out there tonight. What a joke he looked like taking a penalty every chance he was given. Needs to calm down and just play hard, not like an idiot.

Leafs looked pretty good though from what I saw(3rd period and OT). Stalberg looks like he could be a stud and we don't even have Kessel in the lineup yet so more offense is on the way when he gets suited up.

Wow...3-0 Calgary over Vancouver early in the 1st. Not paying attention to the game right now but I'm listening to it in the background.

Canucks fans are probably having flashbacks to the end of their playoffs last year.

I'll say one thing, the Bruins skated terrible tonight, forechecked terrible and the defense was equally bad. Though I will say one thing about Ovie, no wonder he scores so many goals, he doesn't play defense and cherry picks at the blue line/center ice anytime the puck is in the defensive zone. Disappointing start to the season if you're a Bruins fan.

Bruins will be fine, they had some really bad breaks near the goal that could've changed the tide.

Caps' powerplay is going to be sick this year. At the very least, should be a fun offense to watch.

Bruins did come out poorly tonight, but they have 81 games left. They'll be fine. I really believe that once Savard starts developing chemistry with Sturm that the 1st line will be absolutely nasty. Savard can set anyone up, and Sturm is no slouch.

Capitals came out pretty hard though. Ovie aside, they played really well in the neutral zone. Kept Boston at bay for the most part. Not sure how long Theodore is going to last in net. I was holding my breath everytime one of the B's took a shot.

Also watched the SJ game. They got totally outworked in every aspect of the game. Anderson played really well in net, but Colorado's hard work ethic put the game out of reach in the 2nd period. PK finished the job in the 3rd. Duchene looked really good. He had 3 huge scoring opportunities broken up by Nabby's stick.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL Regular Season

Just got home from the Flames game and while I was impressed with their start, they sure didn't finish well....

The Flames' 4th line was the best and Bourque was a monster all night. Iginla and Jokinen were invisible and Kipper bailed the team out with a solid 3rd period

The 'Nucks were horrible in the opening period and Luongo was shaky, but he did get better as did the rest of the team and if they had played a whole 60 minutes of hockey, the game would have been closer

I agree with Realm on the Bruins - they were sluggish but it is a long season. I was glad to see Bergeron score and Backstrom with 3 assists made me happy since he's on my Hockey pool team.

Looks like Carey Price is primed for this season because the Habs had no business winning that game tonight. Then again, if the Leafs could stop being dummies on their special teams, they might have won too

I got Center Ice today and I am very stoked as I can watch and follow the other teams
