Ratings for Stanley Cup Finals

Ratings for the Stanley Cup Finals had a huge increase in the US:

Game 1: 1.2
Game 2: 1.3
Game 3: 2.8
Game 4: 2.6 (best ratings in the 18-49 demo)
Game 5: 4.2
Game 6: 4.6 (2nd in the 18-49 demo,second to Fox)

This years Stanley Cup was the highest rated since 2002 when the Wings beat the Hurricanes. Game 5 (remember the Ducks won in 5 last year) last year got a 1.8 rating.

Game five really, really helped Hockey...perhaps even for the long term.

I barely even watched any of the series until that game...and I was hooked.

Also, the fact that the Pens actually won a game made it interesting. I didn't expect that.

Game 1 and two seem like really solid numbers considering they were on Versus.

Are those national numbers? Wow a 4.2 and 4.6! That's amazing numbers for the NHL. I hope that the NBC presentation may have brought in some new fans as I really enjoyed it. I'm actually pondering the possibility of watching more of the NBC games next season.

Nah just the wings have a lot of fans, if it had been another team than nope.
