9-1 after two periods!!! Staal with 4 goals already. Time to make a major push for the playoffs. Go Canes!

Canes have moved up to the 6th spot after a 3rd period comeback vs the Isles. Just hope they get in. One thing I love about the NHL playoffs is that you don't need the home ice advantage to win in the postseason.

A Canes-Caps first round would be interesting. Both teams are even and play each other tough. Plus, the Southeast needs a competitive rivalry, and SE teams NEVER play in the playoffs, which is where rivalries are born.

That would help. I think the Canes got a hatred going w/the Panthers.

Canes 2-1 victory over the Sens ties a franchise record for consecutive home wins, nine. They've picked up 28 pts in their last 18 games.

Canes are rollin!! End Jersey's 11 game home winning streak. Score 2 goals in the 4th on Brodeur. Put the most SOG against NJ this season, 48. Cam Ward is playing his best since the Stanley Cup year. Canes have won 10 of 13, points in 12 of 13 games this month. They end the season w/4 of 5 in Raleigh.

Canes look totally different than when I was watching them earlier in the year. I'm not sure how well the Erik Cole trade has done but boy - LaRose has really performed well this year. I enjoyed watching his high energy play last year but it looks like his game is catching up to his hustle.

They are playing some good hockey. I'm looking forward to seeing some playoff hockey once more. They've got an outside shot @ hosting the 1st round.

Setting up to be a good one tomorrow night with Carolina hosting the Penguins. The question is, will anyone be watching with UNC playing?
