Forsberg and Gagne 4, Thrashers 3. Gagne with the hat to take the NHL goal lead from Jagr, Forsberg with two assists to push his league-leading total to 21. To say those guys are clicking is an understatement....

Not sure how Alfredsson did tonight, but I think Forsberg pulled into a tie with Staal for the NHL lead in points.

Nevermind, looks like he's a point back.

The Penguins did us a favor tonight, by whooping the Rags. The Rags are currently 2 points up on us, but have played 4 more games. I like where we're sitting. Tomorrow night's game with the Bruins should be a good one. Let's see how Esche holds up against Thornton, Samsonov, Murray, and Co. Looking forward to it.

Re: The Official Thread of the Philadelphia Flyers

Sweet redemption for Joni tonight. His giveaway allowed Thornton to score the seemingly game-ending 3rd goal for the B's, but Joni gets the game tying and game winning goals as the Flyers win 4-3 in OT.

We didn't seem like we had any legs tonight until about midway through the 3rd period when we flipped the switch and started skating. Boston really clogs up the neutral zone well - we dumped and chased more tonight than I've seen us do yet this year. But for much of the game we looked sluggish, like we had played during the afternoon or something.

Forsberg's pass to spring Pitkanen on the game tying goal was SICK.

I agree with everything you said. It was a frustrating game for the most part, but the ending was worth it! I was at the game, and a bunch of people left as soon as Thornton scored. I never really get how people can spend so much money on a game, only to leave with over 5 minutes left. Serves them right!

My throat is killing me today from screaming so much last night. After Gagne pulled us within 1 last night, that place was rockin'!

Wow....did Hitch give the "You may fire when ready, Griddley" to all the defensemen last night or what? Some of the shots seemed a little rushed, but I liked the intensity at times after the initial BOS pressure. Seemed like the Bruins had the puck in the Flyers zone for about the first 4 minutes! They're lucky the Bruins only had 3 goals with some of the looks they got right up the belly. Flyers' D needs to do a little more "ab crunching" in there!

Another comeback win. It's even more impressive since it's the young guys that deserve all of the credit for the victory. Sharpie with 2 goals, Carter with a goal and 2 assists, Umberger was on the score sheet, Richards threw down with Asham, and Nitty was incredible between the pipes.

8 in a row at home. We're rolling.

nice win tonight Sully... errr.. blow a 2-0 lead.. well i am used to that this year... i heard on the radio (Isles station) that also tonight marked the 20th anniversary of a tragic event - the death of Pelle Lindberg (essentially they commented that he was one of the best young goalies in the league at the time)..

Re: The Official Thread of the Philadelphia Flyers

8 in a row at home! Like Sully said, great play by the kids tonight. Umberger scored a goal and drew a penalty by chugging to the net on separate occasions - he really seemed to have some jump tonight. Also, big ups to Kim Johnsson for his setup of Sharp from behind the Isles' net on the game winner....a pretty impressive look for a defenseman to make from back there.

With the exception of the York deflection goal, the D also did a nice job clearing in front of Nitty tonight. He played well, but he did leave a lot of pucks bouncing in the slot and the D was there every time to take the man and/or clear the puck. Not easy to do in today's new NHL.
