I'm glad the Flyers gave a nice spanking tonight. Lupul and RJ with the hat tricks was the icing on the cake for this rivalry. Pittsburgh needs a goalie!

“I don’t want to hear any talk about our team and how undisciplined we are," Stevens said. “It’s ridiculous in the third period. They got penalty on the play when they could have had two or three and three broken sticks on the ice. Every time we seem to do something good, there’s another side of the story to take the focus away from the good.

“We’ve had our share of misfortunes here in terms of undisciplined play. The game got out of hand there. The discipline by them in the third period was unacceptable. They were breaking sticks over guys away from the play. There’s no place in the game for that.”

To which Penguins coach Michel Therrien (cq) replied, "Are we talking about the same team that had five players suspended this year? It's a lack of respect to do what he did. You don’t send your best power play on the ice at 7-2."

What a bunch of bitches the Pens are. People accuse us of gooning it up and playing outside the rules, but the way the Pens played in the 3rd period was atrocious. Laraque with a blatant attempt to injure play, Crosby tripping Biron and then sitting on the bench for the last 10 minutes of the game for fear of retaliation, players taking shots all over the ice....what a bunch of bitches. But hey, I'm sure nobody will talk about plays like those because Cindy is the NHL's golden boy and neither he nor his team could possibly do anything wrong in comparison to the mean, nasty, awful Broad Street Bullies, 07/08 edition.

It's also hilarious to hear Therrien crying about us running up the score on them when his team routinely beat the pants off us by 7 or 8 goals all last season. What goes around comes around, buddy....

This is suddenly a great rivalry. To hear the whole building chanting "Where is Crosby" throughout the 3rd period while we kept adding more goals was pretty funny. And to watch the Pens, already down 7-2, have to sit on the bench while another round of hats was collected was also great. Old time hockey at the Wachovia Center!

Running up the score?

Isn't this the same team that ran up the score on the Flyers last year? Crosby smiling and giggling and cheesin' all over the place?

You dish it, you take it.

Payback's a whore bitch.

I thought that should have been a penalty on the flyers guy that hit George with an elbow. Other than that it was a great game.

Well the Pens looked flat and exhausted. Tough road trip, but overall very solid one. Flyers were classless in the third though. Game was over in the 2nd and they dispatch their top power play unit. Stevens is a joke.

Roberts kicking Eager's *** was awesome. Well deserved. Eager is a loser. Got away with an elbow on Georgie boy.

Flyers classless in the 3rd? play a full 60 mins. Pens got their butt kicked period the end.

i thought the Pens were classless how how they handled themselves.. taking baby ***** penalties etc..

Crosby IMO tried to trip up Biron but talk about diving.. Biron looked like he was shot..

BGL IMO lost an edge. if he wanted to send a message to the Flyers and Biron he would have just skated up to him and gave him a lil crosscheck.

both situations were overblown IMO..

Roberts kicking Eagers butt was def nice. Eager is ghey b/c he would take crap with BGL but know deep down he wouldn't fight. was it me or did i read BGL lips say to Eager "if we fight you would leave on a stretcher?" or no?

IMO he got BGL from the blindside with the shoulder, his elbow never touched BGL if the face at all.. good hit IMO..

i disagree there.. playing only 6 times makes the games that much better IMO..

from the pittsburgh post.

And when Therrien's postgame session with reporters ended, Flyers knuckle-dragger Ben Eager (0 points, 60 penalty minutes), whom Therrien passed in a corridor outside the Penguins' locker room, said to him, "You're a joke."

Therrien offered a two-word comeback, only the second half of which -- "you" -- is suitable for public consumption.
lol Eager.. what a clown. love guys that talk the talk but wont walk the walk with the other teams tough guy.

although, i like MT.. i think he is a joke sometimes lol
