Wow, this is hard to believe. Sure Ken Caminti passed away years ago and that was bad for me, but Seau was the first sports figure that I admired from my childhood days. Excuse my language, but damn...

Holy Crap

It's apparently a suicide too?

Yes it sure does seem that the head injuries do have a great effect, no two ways about it.

I loved watching this guy play (well not when he was in New England LOL) as he was one of the most dominant players at his position for so long.

R.I.P. Junior Seau, you're in a better place now.

I'm always torn with suicide stories when a man leaves behind 3 kids. Makes me sad and mad all at once.

Weird story.

Re: R.I.P. Junior Seau 1969-2012

update from the TMZ article...

11:33 AM PDT -- Sources tell us ... Seau died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

Back in 2011, former NFL star Dave Duerson shot himself in the chest ... and explained in his suicide note that he wanted his brain donated to a research center because he believed the blows he took to the head during his football career caused him to become mentally impaired.

sounds like it could be the same thing... CTE.
