Good job bringing in Eddie Royal. We're not having a great off-season or anything, but I genuinely like each signing we've made. Hopefully they continue to improve in the draft, but if we take another nobody 2nd round prospect in the 1st round I'm gonna lose it.

With all the FA signings I can see AJ with another package deal to move up to select the best pass rusher available or DL

Yea I don't know about great either but I definitely like some of the signings the Bolts have had.

I think Courtney Upshaw could be a monster playing in our system next to Shaun Phillips. That's the move I'd like to see most, because we had ZERO pass rush last year for the first time in a long time.

The O-line and SS need to be upgraded as well though, it's just a matter of preference and circumstance when the draft rolls around. Jammer has been talking about a move to safety and Cason has been struggling so I wouldn't rule out corner if Kirkpatrick or Jenkins are on the board either.

So far so good though, I was very frustrated with last year's off-season so this is relieving that we're actually making decent moves instead of signing guys out of the retirement home to pay for their medical bills.

Re: 2012 Free Agency/Offseason Movement Thread

I like what the Chargers are doing so far. VJ is gone and while he is a talent the Bucs paid way to much for him.

Resigned Gaither & Hardwick. Very nice.

Meachem to replace VJ. Always liked him (been on my fantasy team for last 3 years) and think he can do some good things with Phil. Plus who doesn't like 4.3 speed.

McClain can be beast mode. Did real good 2 years ago with the Ravens. Didn't get many touches with the Chiefs but an upgrade over Hester for sure and if Tolbert goes (god I hope they resign him) he can fill that void decently.

Love the J Johnson signing. Very tough run stopper and just one of those gritty players. Comes from a team who's forte has been hard nosed defense. Not much of a pass rush guy but we have Barnes for 3rd downs and we can still draft someone. I wish we could have made a run at Soliai but oh well.

And then there's Eddie Royal. I'm mixed on him. He's injury prone but had a great rookie season. I think if he stayed healthy he could excel with the group of receivers we have. Plus he is a good return man and I've seen enough of Goodman and Crayton returning kicks and punts.

So far so good. I'm very content with what we've done so far. Just hope AJ doesn't reach in the draft like he seems to always do. We need an impact 1st round pick and quality 2nd & 3rd rounders.

Packers have shown interest in Langford. If he visits, the Packers will be serious contenders.

I like the McClain and Johnson signings. Meachem and Royal I'm unsure about.

I'm glad there's more speed being added to the offense and that Royal can be used as a returner (something the team desperately needs). I just hope they can produce as more than just depth receivers.

The returning part for Royal could be nice. He never really got a chance here considering the changes where it just let the kickers put the ball into the stands.
