Cutler is exactly what we knew he was. He is turnover prone but can carry an offense. He is the sole offense. His receivers are average to below average. The running game is putrid and our offensive line is poor.

My biggest concern opening night was the lack of running game. Even after Cutler threw pick after pick. After this game my concern is the running game.

3rd and 1 at the goaline the Bears should be able to run the damn ball. That is why we lost. Plain and simple. Cutlers junk throws just mask the real issue with this team.
Peyton doesn't have a running game and I don't see him having a problem.

Ha, kidding. I agree with you. Question for you though, what happened to this O-line? Did they lose some offensive lineman? Looking at their roster, there are a lot of guys that I recognize that have been there for awhile. They've always had a good running game. Did they just forget how to run block or what?

There won't be a wildcard coming out of the NFC North. It's the Vikings division to lose.

They got old. Kruetz has always been overrated in my book. Garza is the only solid starter of the group. Our left guard has been horrible. Orlando Pace is average at best. Williams is a natural left tackle playing right tackle...why I don't know.

The Bears O-Line is bad and Forte doesn't have the explosiveness he had last year to break big runs. He has been banged up since training camp.

Our O-Line is close to the worst in the league. Thye create no push. Our red zone offense is really bad because of that. We simply cannot punch the ball in.

Forte is much slower than last year. He was really bad the first few games. In the blowouts he hasn't been able to get started because we have been down so much.

Forte looks like a different back this year. I was lobbying for garrett Wolfe to get eqaul carries or at least more playing time because he was hitting holes much better than Forte.

Bears play them twice. Not saying they have much of a chance but they do play them twice.

The Bears have to sweep them to have a chance. Winfield should be back for both games which is good for the Vikings.

I could see a split. Both home teams win.

If Minnesota wins Sunday they will have a 4 game lead on them.

Re: Thursday Night Football: Chicago Bears at. San Francisco 49ers

The Bears are certainly in trouble. They'd have to split games with the Vikings, win 2 out 3 against the Eagles, Packers, and Ravens to get to 9-7 and that still might not be enough in the NFC. And that's assuming they'll beat the Rams and Lions, which they should. lol.

If they can get their act together, they certainly have a chance, just not a very good one at this point.

Mathematically, the Bears have a chance.

Realistically, there's always next year, lol.

Running game or not, you still can't be careless w/the ball. Phillip Rivers has the least productive run game & he has just 6 picks.

That is exactly why McDaniels didn't want him in Denver. He's careless with the ball. He was in Denver when they could run the ball as well.

Great physical talent, puts up good yardage numbers, not a winner, and turnover prone.

McDaniels wanted a guy that makes sound decisions and doesn't force the ball. No one in the league forces the ball in to coverage more than Cutler.
