Hmm, a win and I'll be the happiest man in the world lol. If we can limit mistakes, the stupid penalties, I think we should be up for a great game. I like our offense against their defense, dont know about our defense against their offense, unless we do what Oakland did and pressure McNabb all game.
This game will prove a lot to me about the Cowboys. This is what I wanted, now we got the spotlight game, at Philly, for 1st place. Let's see what the eff we are made of. Everyone on the team must step up, its about the performance on the field. I'm so anxious and excited, and somewhat nervous. This is the kind of game where with a win, could carry a season.

I'm taking the next day off so I can have some brews to relax and either celebrate or try to forget this huge game.

I dunno, something about the Eagles, Reid, & Co that makes me think they've been saving this for an important game and who better than the Cowboys for possession of the NFC East lead? Snap to Vick, dump off in the flat to McNabb, deep pass to Jackson. Snap to Vick, end around to Jackson. I dunno, something insane will happen though.
Honestly, out of all the players on the Eagles' offense, I'm scared of Michael Vick the least. He's had effectively zero impact this season, doesn't appear to be the same player athletically, and the playcalling when he is in the game is rather predictable. I'll go as far to say as any play Michael Vick is in the game taking the snap at quarterback (and thus resulting in Donovan McNabb not getting the ball) is one play closer to the Cowboys winning the game.
I will agree that they could be saving something, just as the Cowboys might be with their rarely-used Wildcat, but one can't really predict gadget plays will work out; there's a reason they are gadget plays.

You know, I didn't even watch that game because I just knew coming into it that the Eagles would win. Everything was setting up perfectly for them, and I gave up on the Cowboys after the Ravens debacle.
As such, I personally have no attachment to it, but it's obviously another major storyline to run with for this game.

Westbrook is the guy that always kills us. I'm starting him in FFL assuming he's game-time ready and not hurt like he always seems to be.

We're going to need a Jason Witten sighting. He's been quiet all year long. I think that this is the game we get to see him have 7 or 8 catches with the Eagles secondary concentrating on our WRs.[Reply]

Oh boy, Philly here we come. The Cowboys will need to set the tone early in order to settle down the city of "brotherly shove". On offense we will need a big game out of our running backs in order to control the ball and keep Romo from making mistakes. Barber will need to get it going along with Felix and Choice. I expect Witten to have a good game here as he will be the safety net for Romo when he has nothing downfield. I do not expect Miles Austin to continue his streak of dominance over opposing teams, so Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton will have to pick up some of the slack. The main goals for the Boys on offense should be to pound the rock, stay penalty free, and only take shots down field when they are apppropriate.
On defense the Cowboys will need to stop Brian Westbrook on the ground and in the passing game. Newman along with safety help over top should be going on all game in order to slow down Desean Jackson. The Cowboys will need to continue creating pressure on opposing QBs and forcing bad throws, sacks, or throw aways. Our defense will have to keep us in the game because I do not think that the Cowboys will put very many points up on offense, especially if they have poor feild position.
Although it is pretty early, I'll take the Cowboys 24-17.

Witten does need to get more involved in the passing game. They use him a lot blocking now it seems.

Very good points. Vick on the field, regardless of how he's played so far, is still a matchup headache and if nothing, he is the most dangerous "decoy" out there in terms of trick-plays because we really don't know for sure if he can still be Madden-cover Vick or Jailbird Vick. I can't imagine how a team would defend any formation that would have homerun hitters like Maclin, Jackson, Westbrook/McCoy & McNabb out there on the field all at once. Not an easy task in the least.
