The guy is so "matter-of-fact", "no frills", "tell-it-like-it-is". You don't have any doubt that he is in control & it will turn out right because he said so.

Top five coach in the NFL, IMO. In two seasons, he equaled what it took a decade and a half for Cowher to do.

Of course, Tomlin has had an emerging Big Ben, while Cowher had Neil O'Donnell, Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart, and Tommy Maddox.

Just saying, in a lot of ways, Tomlin has been enjoying the fruits of Cowher's labor.

I agree. I mean what has he even done there? I'm not even sure he does anything with the team.. Other than draft the great Limus Sweed...

Not in a position to do any comparisons, but I always enjoyed Bill Parcells' press conferences when he was with the Cowboys.

Tuna was too arrogant for my tastes.

I love hearing Tomlin speak. He's very smart and he shows great football knowledge.

I somewhat agree, but that doesn't mean it will = success. Norv Turner and Wade Phillips both inherited highly talented teams in San Diego and Dallas, yet both have regressed heavily under their new coaches, while the Steelers have become better.

They're a better team under Tomlin, in my opinion. Much more ballsy. He's never afraid to go for it on fourth down and he tries to drive the stake through his opponents hearts. Cowher never did this, and I used to hate it. His Steeler teams would completely dominate games, but barely win.

I wouldn't blame Limas Sweed on Tomlin in any way. A) He was pretty highly touted at the time. B) When your franchise QB says he wants a tall WR, I'm pretty sure you should give him one. C) While he's been awful, he is clearly a talented guy who is suffering from mental mistakes, and there's hope that he can turn it around.

Aside from Eddie Royal and DeSean Jackson, who from that draft class did pan out so far?
