Derek Anderson

Do any of you still think he's light years ahead of Brady Quinn? Quinn should've never been pulled. That move set the franchise back, and considering how far back all the other moves have set it, just that much worse.

Week 3: 11/19, 92 yards, 0 tds, 3 ints
Week 4: 26/48, 269 yards, 1 td, 1 int (269 on 48 attempts!?!)
Week 5: 2/17, 23 yards, 0 tds, 1 int
Week 6: 9/24, 122 yards, 1 td, 1 int, 2 fumbles lost
Week 7: 12/29, 99 yards, 0 tds, 1 int, 2 fumbles
Week 8: 6/17, 76 yards, 0 tds, 2 ints, 1 fumble lost

Is there anyone that still wants to make an argument for this guy? He's awful.

Re: Derek Anderson

At this point, all I'm sure of is that no QB would succeed in Cleveland.

On that note, Derek Anderson has some of the worst stats of all time in his last 18 starts.

Re: Derek Anderson

The Browns team is awful. Derek Anderson is a backup quarterback. I don't know who could have ever thought any different.

Brady Quinn is likely a backup QB too. But there is no reason he should not have started every game this year.

Re: Derek Anderson

I don't understand why he's still starting. At least Quinn can complete more than 50% of his passes.

Re: Derek Anderson

There are absolutely no targets in Cleveland. Massaqoui and Robiskie are going to be good down the line but right now, it's the worst group of receivers and tight ends in the NFL. On top of it, Jamal Lewis sucks. If it weren't for Joe Thomas, Eric Steinbach and Alex Mack, Anderson or Quinn would be in a body bag by now.

Re: Derek Anderson

Well IMO its time to put Brady Quinn back in and stick with him for the rest of the year. See what you have and if its nothing then you use that Top 5 pick on a QB.

The Browns D plays OK a good deal of the time, at least.

Yeah they do have something to work with at least. Its not like the Raiders where almost every player is grossly overpaid and your stuck with horrible contracts or the Rams where there is basically nothing.

Re: Derek Anderson

hehehe Anderson seems to be having the worst year of any qb in recent memory, even worse than Ryan Leaf was.

You know your team's hopes are pretty bad when you act like that guy is the best option. I do not watch Browns games but I fail to see how Quinn was worse than him and how any sane person could justify sticking with Anderson.

He's giving JaMarcus a run for the crown.
