Pro Football>Titans attempt to break Terrible Towel Curse.

Do you believe the Titans were cursed when Keith Bulluck and LenDale White stomped on it during the Titans vs. Steelers game last year? Apparently Bulluck and White do. The Allegheny Valley School received a Terrible Towel autographed by the 2 players which will be sold in an auction to benefit the school. The move was actually the idea of a Nashville sports radio host in an attempt to break the Titans losing streak.
For those who don't know, the Allegheny Valley School is a school in suburban Pittsburgh that specializes in treating children with autism and other learning disabilities. Myron Cope was initially reluctant to endorse the terrible towel but agreed to do so on the condition a portion of proceeds from their sale go to the Allegheny Valley School where his son was a patient/resident.

It's true.... Don't disrespect the Terrible Towel. Only bad things can happen to a team that does so. What's funny is I said last year that the Titans would struggle bad after stomping on the Terrible Towel. They haven't won since they stomped on it.
Flahshback to the Bengals in 2005. They went 11-5 that season, but in week 13, TJ Houshmanzadeh wiped his feet with the Terrible Towel. The Bengals went 2-3 the rest of the season (1 game was a 31-17 playoff beatdown against the Steelers). 2006 they were 8-8 and missed the playoffs. 2007 they went 7-9 and missed the playoffs. 2008 they went 4-11-1 and missed the playoffs. TJ left after that season to play in Seattle and the Bengals are now 5-2. Seattle? They're 2-4...and my guess...they'll miss the playoffs.
All teams have to do is release players who disrespected the Terrible Towel and place the curse on another team. Until then, they shall remain cursed. :-)[Reply]

Im curious as to what your implying here? Have the titans been running around making excuses or something? What am I missing bro? or were you just trying to sound clever?
and an edit---- just to be clear, 2 things, A) where is it written that there is a curse of the towel, and B) wtf do you expect the Titans to do when a media outlet requests you sign the towel and send it to a school for autism. We would be talking about how horrible the titans are had they not signed the thing.
this terrible towel curse thing is retarded. watch the Titans play a game and realize that they suck and there is no curse.
had they gone 0-6 and lost on 3 last second field goals, a last second hailmary, and twice on fumbles while attempting to kneel on the ball at the end of the game, then we can talk about a curse. Unfortunatley, thats not the case.
just as much as me getting over the Titans 0-6 start, the Steelers fans needd to get over your team getting stomped in week 15 last year.

Relax. The Curse of The Terrible Towel has been a Pittsburgh story since it's inception in the 70's. We all joke around about it in Pittsburgh because it seems any team that does anything to the Terrible Towel starts to struggle. Local DJ's even make song parodies about the curse. It's just something that bounds the fans with the team and does so for a very worthy cause.
Maybe some Titan fans need to get thicker skin and just accept that last year was a fluke - which I predicted before this season? Afterall, Steeler fans are well past the Titans winning in week 15 because.....ohhhh....I don't know....maybe because the Steelers won The Super Bowl? Who gives a crap about a loss in week 15 when you win The Super Bowl! :-)
With that said, the Titans have been cursed and will suck for years to come. Might want to get used to it. :-)[Reply]
