Re: Gotta Love Redskins Fans

As a Cowboys fan, I completely feel your pain. We went through this in the early 00's with Jerry Jones and his insistance in having some piss poor coaches (Campo, Gailey, etc) and even worse personel changes. Three 5-11 seasons in a row, our HOF RB being run into the ground, etc was too much to bare at times.

It's also very odd to see a team with such great talent performing so badly. Cooley, Portis, Moss, Haynesworth, Carter, Fletcher, etc, those guys are way too good to not be able to help turn this team around.

Some of the problems are because of the coaches, but I would say most of the problems are with Snyder and his stupid spending and bringing in guys who cost too much and are on the decline.

Bah... Lions fans have been doing this since 2005. (Remember the Millen Man March?) Some fans have done this even sooner than that. But signs were never banned from entering the stadium by the Lions organization no matter how terrible things have been. Anyway, it seems to me like the Redskins have sensitive front office people. They need to man up and allow their fans to express their opinions.

Love the Eagles eat campbell soup sign. They sure did too!

As for the topic at hand...Don't you sort of expect this from this front office group? It's sad, yes, but not unexpected.

That the problem they don't have great talent. This team way overrated. There play on the field proves it to me..

How do they not have talent? Portis, Cooley, Moss, and two of the better offensive lineman in Randy Thomas and Chris Samuels. Defensively.. Haynesworth, Carter, Orakpo, Fletcher, Landry, Rogers, etc.

Cooley, yes*injuried*. Moss, yes (when playing to his strenghts vertical passing and bubble screens.). Portis, 1600 carries in 5+ years in DC are starting to show. Chris Samuels is done, and was largely getting by on reputation not skill anymore, Randy Thomas, is on injured resurve, since 9/23/09.

Haynesworth, when on the field is productive, but not $100 million worth. Carter, having his best year rushing the QB this year (7 sacks thus far), but in the 3 yeare previous averaged 7 sacks a season. He is benifiting from Haynesworht. Orakpo, is learning a new position, but shows he can play with his hand in the dirt. Fletcher, yes, but aging. Landry, overrated at this point, misses to many tackles. Tries to be ST21 but doesn't have "it". Rodgers, he can be an effective CB in the NFL, but the scheme of playing 10-12 yards off WR makes him look poor, not to mention he got caught looking to the inside in Cover 3 for the long TD pass to Jackson on MNF.

They have some talent, but not as much as you are making it seem, especially given that the two Olinemen you mentioned are on IR.
