Hey! I love me some Fig Newtons...and I love me some Football. Why not combine the two into one combination of awesome?

They should just be selective with who's patches they wear. Like the 49ers should wear Goldrush.com, Detriot wears auto companies and the Cowboys can wear patches promoting Jessica Simpson's new album dropping.

How long until we see China-owned companies on the jersies?

This should never, ever happen. I won't even get into it, but if this is something that goes on during the regular season, I will be afraid to even imagine what the NFL will be like in 10-15 years...

I am sure the NFL would really give back to the consumer on this deal.

I see no problem with it if done with small patches. I also wish the NFL would allow each team to have it's own licensing apparel company much like the NCAA allows with it's team. Reebok has some downright UGLY designs. Also, it'd be nice if each team allowed specific players to have sponsorships, for example, WRs marketing signature gloves, etc.

I hope this doesn't eventually spread into their gameday uniforms...

again, I think people are just numb to how much sponsorship logos are slapped on everything else when they watch a game. The tickets you get have logos on them, the stadium is corporately sponsored, ads and logos are all over the concourse you walk and cup of beer your drink. Your seat likely has some brand logo on it somewhere, while giving you a place to sit and soak in all the billboards and signage around the field. Coaches wear sponsored headsets and players drink league approved beverages from sponsored cups. Millions of viewers willing make an event out of watching the Superbowl commercials. Who really cares if that carries over to logos on the jerseys?
