You don't think you could've been a tad more mature in your post?

People are entitled to their opinions and, like it or not, it was a controversial hit.

Really? There goes any credibility you had.

The hit was clean (he didn't lead with his helmet, leave his feet, try to hurt him) but was a cheap shot. It was like when Sapp hit that olineman years ago. The NFL started calling a penalty on plays like that after he got hurt (which is why the flag was thrown here). I'm not surprised it wasn't fined b/c it wasn't a "dirty" hit... a flag was the appropriate move.

Still the hit of the year though. I'll throw in my homer pick for 2nd or 3rd place:

As long as they state their opinion only once.

Next season they'll figure out a way to make hits like this illegal, it'll probably read something like "you can't run full speed into a reciever that's smaller than you". As these players make more and more money the owners will want to protect their investmnents even more, soon every player on the field will be treated like a quarterback.

It was a good clean hit. Nothing in the rules against it.

It wasn't clean... cause it did draw a flag... but it was not fine worthy.

I do think had he lead with his head... then a fine would have been coming.

Lol, it's sad but true. They come up with all kinds of rules. Defensive players cant even react and make a play anymore. They have to think all the time about "well maybe if i ease up a little i wont get penalized and/or fined."

That old school vid had so many hits that would be considered "dirty" by today's standards its unreal. GROW SOME BALLS! IT'S FOOTBALL!!!
