Norv Turner Will Return As Chargers Head Coach Next Year.

But I got a question for you, that I heard while listening to the radio on my way home from work.

IF Norv Turner were to get fired as Head Coach of the Chargers, would you consider him one of the Worst Coaches of All Time or just somebody who has had bad luck, with every team he's coached?

He just isn't a good head coach. Worst coach of all time? not sure about that one. Great move by the clueless Dolts to bring in back for the '09 season.

One of the worst of all time? hmm I can think of a few who are worse off then he has been. He'd probably be in my top 20 or so.

BTW professapackman did you get my PMs? Just making sure.

You could say that he had teams with poor talent in Washington and Oakland which had an impact on his record. Last years charger team was Super Bowl ready. All he had to do was guide the ship Early in that season he almost sank it. This year, I'm not sure. I haven't followed them much, but I don't think there was a tremendous drop in talent. I could be wrong though. They still have a shot to slide into the playoffs if they make a run.

Norv, isn't a good head coach. I think his track record has proven that. One of the worst, not in my top 5. He is without a doubt one of the top offensive minds in the game. When he was in San Fran there was talk that he had saved Alex Smith's career, now look at where Smith is. For whatever reason when it is his show he hasn't produced the results. I wonder if he would be able to have more success at the college level? I think that at the very least he would be able to develope some NFL ready QB's.

Seriously, how many years of obvious futility does it take?

As painful as it is to be a Raider fan these days, at least we aren't suffering through several seasons of wasting Super Bowl caliber talent (and LT's career).

That has to be brutal.
