Re: Official OS NFL Suicide Pool '08 - Discussion

Went out and chose the Chargers, hoping (and praying) the Giants get upset by St Louis. I just have a good "feeling" that the Chargers will win their match up versus the Broncos.

BTW, if the Giants were to lose, I think there are about 5 of us left? Not sure of the actual number but man most of this league is going down if an upset occurs.

That feeling seems odd, considering Merriman's out for the year, and the one thing that San Diego definitely needs is run stopping against Denver.

You are correct and that's why I will edit it. I was speaking to a friend just before and I had completely forgot that Merriman was done for the year. I'm allowed to edit right?

I don't see how STL can beat the G-Men but if they do then damn...most of this pool will be drained.

I'd laugh, even though it'd knock me out.

The Giants BARELY beat an awful 'Skins team.

MOST NFL teams win their home games. It's a rare exception when they lose. Granted, STL only won three games last year, but that's more of an aberration (Not them losing, but any team losing so many home games).

Seeing Oakland in action against the Broncos let me know they they are going to be PRESSED to win a road game this year - let alone a home game.

St. Louis only won one home game last year. And if I calculated it correctly home teams won 57% of their games last year. I wouldn't call the road team winning 43% of the time a rare exception.

I'd say we all did well picking the Giants.
