1) Do I need to buy the EURO version of PES 10 to get option file updates?
2) Is it easier to transfer things on the PS3 version? Do I just slap the files on a stick and transfer?
3) Can I use an Xbox 360 migration kit to get the updates?

1) For PS3 the euro version tends to get more/more accurate updates than the us version, but there is typically a few more than decent us versions. However for the 360 version (at least for PES 2009) I was able to use a Euro option file for my US version and it worked fine.
2) Not sure, I haven't done it for PS3 before. I know it is a freaking chore to to it on 360. I did an initial option file around release time for 2009, and because it was kinda a hassle I didn't bother with it again.
3) yes, and that would be easier than the way I was doing it. I was using a memory card and the datel transfer kit. but I still had to use xport360 AND xplorer360, not just one or the other. I dont really remember the steps, but i know i had to use one to create a memory card image, and then use the other to transfer it to the memory card. Putting it straight on the hard drive would be much easier because you could skip those steps :-)[Reply]

I did this for the first time last week, very easy. You need a USB memory stick and thats it. You download the option file, save it to your USB stick, place it in your PS3 and copy each file.

well for what it's worth, i tried uploading version 2 and 3 of the euro option file I originally had version 1 with...and they didnt work. The game said they were from the wrong version of the game :-)
so as far as 2010 goes, i wouldnt be surprised if the euro versions dont work again, but who knows.
and in that case, youd might be better off getting the ps3 version. xbox360 option files are hard to come across since the editing has to be done in game which is very time consuming. for ps3, even if you cant find a good US option file, you can at least upload images to have the sponsors/badges done, then you'd just have to edit names yourself.

update...the later euro files did work on 360 for 2009. I just had to go to xbl marketplace and download the roster update they had :-)
I guess ill go with the 360 version for 2010
