Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion

Was wondering how u all would rank the top 5 or 10 rookies from 2012 draft in like 2 or 3 yrs... who will have the best careers, be all stars, etc ?

I'm thinking Monta Ellis 2.0

I feel pretty confident that Davis, Beal, MKG, and Lilliard will be solid player/All-Star types. After that, it's anyone's guess.

Rivers is no where near explosive as Monta Ellis, imo.

MKG has the best motor ive ever seen, not Tyler Hansbrough, im not that good, try hard motor. But a ”im a relentless dog, wont stop motor”.

Beal doesnt shot it well enough for my liking but hes still very young. I think Davis will be between Camby & Duncan when its all done, a real nice player but he will need an outstanding supporting cast. I think so much of Waiters potential is tied to Irving who seems to be pretty snake bit when it comes to injuries, so we will see there.

I think MKG will be the best of the lot.

Need a outstanding supporting cast for what exactly? Winning? I'm not sure which player outside of LeBron that has won a lot minus an outstanding supporting cast.

He cant be supported by average players is what I mean, I dont think he can transcend such a handicap. I dont think he can pull guys up to his level, in other words, I dont see him being the ”man”, but I could be wrong.

In terms of wins or production was my point. I just thought your comment wasn't specific. Every player needs a good supporting cast to win. Not all players need the supporting cast to put up numbers.

I'm not disagreeing with you by the way. I've taken a lot of criticism being anti-Davis in terms of him ever being transcend or a superstar. Personally I don't see a once in a generation player either.
