Possible Breakout Teams

I think that the clippers can have a great year. Mo Williams, Chauncey, Blake, Eric Gordon and Caron Butler and even Chris Kaman if 100% can be one of the playoff teams in the west.

People said that last year. Hopefully they finally do it.

Re: Possible Breakout Teams

I'm torn between the Clippers & Pacers. Both have added some serious talent this off-season.

A team with Griffin, Gordon, a healthy Billups, a healthy Butler, Chris Kaman, Mo Williams looks great on paper. Hopefully, they won't run into any of that old "Clipper Luck".

and the Pacers were a solid team last year, and adding David West to a core of Granger, Hansbrough, Collison, & Hibbert seems like a potential "contender" in an otherwise weak Eastern Conference.

I'll go off the board.

T-Wolves.

Team has a lot of talent and potential, but can they put it all together? Can RA get them to gel?

I cannot wait to see Love in RA's system.

I just don't trust their team in the schedule that will be played this year. Can Kevin Love maintain his level of play in this grueling schedule? He's already said that he lost 45 pounds this off season. Will that factor in? Can a team with Michael Beasley as one of it's top scoring options succeed? Can Luke Ridnour be the starting point guard on a potential playoff team? Can they stop any of the other Western Conference teams without a legitimate defensive big man?

Re: Possible Breakout Teams

Guys like Anthony Randolph and Wes Johnson are going to have to really step up if the T'Wolves want to have a good year. Same goes for Beasley.

For me though, I think the Warriors will sneak into the playoffs with this group. I like the Mark Jackson hire, I think he's going to really be able to motivate them on the defensive end of the ball. We'll have to wait and see though.

They also just picked up Kwame Brown for $7M? lol. I'm guessing he'll be backing up Biedrins, or maybe even starting. Depends on how Udoh improves. Their front line and their depth scares me, but a core of Ellis, Curry, and Lee, this season should be enough to get them in.
