My issue wasn't what he said on his Twitter, I mean, people spell in slang on their phones and things like that.

I just hated that ESPN brought attention to it, and Stuart Scott felt like he had to translate it for the slow people. It reminded me of the movie "Airplane!" when the two brothas were talking and no one knew what they were saying, then the old lady goes "I speak jive" and proceeded to talk to them.

I'll be the first to be on topic: With the way he's playing right now, it wouldn't surprise me if he does win it. Has Melo won it before in the past or would this be his first one?

I'm pretty sure he hasn't won it before (but he's come close I think, feel free to correct me on this...) , and I don't think he's gonna start this year..... There are 2 guys in his draft class that will score more than him, let alone the rest of the league.

Going well so far... a full 6+ points ahead of Kobe. And no, he's never done it before... those twin 40-point games were the first time in his career he's scored 40 back-to-back, which is kinda crazy considering his reputation... especially when he was chucking up nearly 30 shots per game in 04-05 and 05-06. But now he's got legit 3PT range, is attacking more via the dribble instead of just waiting for the entry in the post (more FT attempts that way and his speed/size combo is a problem for EVERY elite wing defender), is making about 85% from the line while getting there almost 14 times a game thus far, and is passing out of double teams like a killer.

I think it's very possible... he'll cool down and won't be averaging 32+ all season, but he's absolutely dialed in right now and is just doing everything for the Nuggets. I'll go ahead and predict 30/7/5 out of him this year... whether that's enough to be scoring champ, I don't know... depends on how much the Cavs not named "LeBron" suck and whether D-Wade continues carrying the load nearly on his own (O'Neal or Beasley coming alive will keep him out of the 30 PPG level IMO because of their slow system).
