Re: Salary Cap Killers

the MLE is always a bad decision for more than 1 season, I could never sign any non-starter for more than 2 years no matter what.

This should be a cautionary tale for GM's as free agency starts tomorrow.

A couple of tidbits that may have slipped everyone's mind.

Utah has New York's unprotected 2010 first round pick(Well played Zeke)

OKC has Phoenix's unprotected 2010 first round pick-Phoenix's owner is known to be cheap, but not totally insane-what happened here???

I guess I see why Boozer, Turk, Gordon, got $$$ in their eyes. Seeing the money that Damp, Dalembert, and Curry got, I guess they thought they were a lock for 12+ mil per.

I guess Kobe was right.
LOL yes Kobe is right

but the thing about Damp is that he is a virtual expiring this season. He has incentives for '10 that he will never reach and therefore he will become a team option. In other words, Damp's expiring might be trade bait this offseason in a package with Stack. It will be interesting to see what piece the Mavs can get for that package from a cash strapped team looking to clear room in '10
