Re: Nets Magic deal involving Carter Rumor

Wow

I'm assuming if it goes down ORL won't keep Turk

NJ has to put up with a trash season if it goes down.

Phil added, “We asked him to cut his hair and he did.” A psychological fresh start? “Sasha played with his hair last year more than he did on the court,” Jackson quipped.

Fair question:

Is ORL better with Carter

or

with Turk/Lee/Skip

I'm not too sure. They matched up with CLE very nicely but then ran into some trouble when they met a team with a normal sized SG

Tough call. I actually hope to see VC in Orlando for some reason.

Vince is not a high flyer anymore, but he can still really, really shoot..and he absolutely will take the big shot late in the game with zero fear.

The only fear with Vince, is that you just never know when the dog will show up.

With a team that can certainly get back to a final, you wouldnt think that would be an issue, but you can never be 100% sure with him.

Re: Nets Magic deal involving Carter Rumor

if this trade happens, i will be very interested in seeing what the magic do in the off-season. if this happens i believe they should go for more of a defensive stopper type of guy that gives you more toughness. one of this guys is a free agent, his name is Ron Artest. but to stay on topic i know the magic were going to look and trade alston cause he probably wants to start but he wouldnt start in new jersey either with devin harris starting there

How do you propose ORL can afford Artest if they trade for Carter?

Re: Nets Magic deal involving Carter Rumor

This instantly makes the Magic the favorite to come out of the East, imo. Carter is an underrated defender, he can still finish just fine, he's a great shooter and a great ball handler. If they manage to keep Turk, that is a tough, tough team to beat. Factor in a healthy Jameer and an improved Howard. Pshh. That's a damn tough team to beat. They'd be fielding five All Stars, basically.
