2003-04 ALL NBA 1ST TEAM vs ALL ROOKIE 1ST TEAM

In your opinion who would win this game if these two teams played - now - given age and where they're at in their careers development wise?

2003-04 ALL NBA 1st TEAM
Shaq
Duncan
KG
Kobe
Kidd

2003-04 ALL ROOKIE 1st TEAM
Bosh
Carmelo
Lebron
Wade
Hinrich

The rookie team would be outsized, but the 1st team would be out-athleticised (?). The 1st team is obviously better defensively, but the all-rookie is so nasty on offense between Wade, Melo, Bosh, and Lebron. I think the All-Rook team would run them off the court though. In the halfcourt the All-NBA is beast, but the All-Rook team would annihilate them in transistion.

If the game is an uptempo affair the rookies CAN get the W

I think Hinrich would be their weakest link.

Well that's obvious, but not a bad 'weak' link. Besides he would only need to 'manage' the game by not turning it over and play D.

This is actually an interesting scenario. The First team is obviously old. I think it would depend on their bench LOL.. and are we talking about if they played in a 7-game series?

The First team doesn't have enough perimeter shooting in the starting lineup too.

I was thinking a one-game, winner takes all scenario.

If you want to extend benches into it then you could consider the All-NBA/All-Rookie 2nd teams as the benches.

Those being as follows:

ALL-NBA 2nd TEAM:ALL-ROOKIE 2nd TEAM:

Damn, as much as I want to take the NBA 1st team, if I had to put money on it, I'd roll with the Rooks.

The First Team is simply way too old. Crazy how that was only 4 years ago.

4 years ago, both the First and Second teams were all in their primes.

That All-NBA 1st team would still be impressive IMO, but that 2nd team...ouch...All except for T-Mac have pretty much lost what made them All-NBA 2nd Team'ers.

I think the 1st teams vs the 1st teams would be a great matchup. The rook team having to account for Shaq, KG, and Duncan would be a tall task.
