I'm not a Raptors fan.

I'm a Knicks fan. so yeah, my team is kind of a sieve.

Bargnani is not a bad defender. He's not very good at the 3, but at the 4 or the 5 he at least provides shot blocking and he provides intimidation. Moon and Parker don't even play that good of defense, all that Moon has is athleticism. Can't tell you how many times I've seen Moon burned or out of position.

Bosh isn't a terrible post defender, I would call him average

Funny how I was telling my friend after last night's display that I won't watch the team until he's fired...

Thank the good lord and BC. While his team was a bit flawed, we had no system on offense, no set plays and we were always lost on D. The Raptors would always double when they shouldn't and overhelp leaving open shooters.

Smitch couldn't prepare a team to save his life. He needs to go back to being an assistant again.

Sam is a class act though. I'll say that. But man the team became so boring to watch, especially this season. I think the players quit on him. He tells Jose to push the ball upcourt and he still goes at a snails pace. Something had to give.

The first thing the coach needs to do is tell Jose to be more aggressive. Or else they will still be the same exact team that they are now. He is the key to that team. He needs to get people easy shots. Right now he does not. It's all jumpshots.

edit: Colangelo is one of the most overrated GMs in the league. He was brought into a great cap situation and his team has NO vision at all. What the heck are they supposed to be? We still don't know

He was overrated with Phoenix. Hellz no.

With the Raptors, I won't use overrated, but it's been hit or miss on a lot of his moves. We shall see. He needs to bring in a legit 2 or 3. Moon sucks and Parker is old.

Please watch the games and refrain from commenting on something without actually observing it, especially if you're merely parroting something that you read in the Sports Illustrated season preview issue or something.

"[Y]our whole team is sieve" - Very accurate statement, for the most part no dispute there.

"Bosh is a horrible post defender" - partially accurate, his on the ball post defense definitely leaves something to be desired, but he's a pretty good help defender.

"Bargnani and Kapono may be the two worst defenders in the association." - Bargnani is not a horrible defender anymore. He was definitely lost last season, but his post defense this season has been above average, solid at worst. Re: Kapono, completely agree.

"Your only above average defenders are Moon and Parker." - This is a completely inaccurate statement. Parker has lost a step and is getting exposed every game. Moon has been atrocious this year, just floating around and relying on athleticism to go for spectacular blocks, in the process, biting on every pumpfake and rebounding at the rate of a PG.

I definitely know you haven't watched a Raptors game this season because you didn't even mention Calderon. Calderon is probably the worst defender in the league this season. Opposing PGs are beating him off the dribble at will and is probably the single biggest reason why the Raptors have such a poor record this season.

Sam is a good guy but a terrible Xs and Os coach. The guy is very one dimensional with his gameplanning and teams know exactly how to attack and defend against this team. I respect Sam as a person but as a coach he was almost as bad as Lenny Wilkens was in terms of preparing and getting the team to play a good brand of basketball.

Jay Triano is a pretty good coach IMO. He'll be the first ever Canadian to coach an NBA team but that's not the only reason why I like the guy. He's had tons of international experience as both a player and a coach and with this hodge podge of international talent and international style of play I think he can get more out of this team. I know for damn sure he'll put an emphasis on defense.

I have a feeling though that BC will go for someone he knows and trusts a bit more. Too bad the timing is so off that we couldn't get D'antoni.

I didn't mention Calderon because another poster already mentioned him. I was naming the Raptors' other poor defenders.
