LAL need to trade for McGrady

or I should say McGrady needs LA

Yeah yeah go ahead and scoff, but at this point a coach like Phil is exactly what he needs. He also needs a player like Bean on his side who's been there and done that. He'd be a perfect 1b 2a option, especially since he loves to pass the ball around.

LA is going to depart with Odom at some point and the talent/fiscal tradeoff is worth it to them. It's not in the air or anything but I do think Tracy opened up the door at least by mentioning wanting to play with bean.

Mitch for all his criticisms at least believes in tall athletic players who can move faster than a turtles pace, and takes risks on players other than safe gambles.

Just a discussion topic but what do you think of the possibility?

But would the Lakers trade for him since they are playing that great?

A line up of Bynum - Gasol - McGrady - Bryant - Fisher/Vujacic is very, very scary.

Why him though? If we wouldn't have made that comment last week about playing with Kobe would you have made this topic? Just asking, not bashing

You really think the Lakers need to change their starting lineup when they are the most dominant team in the league right now?

And for Tracy...why not the Spurs?

Yes because I brought the question up last year, now your thoughts please

Born... I think the coach and the player is what he needs. Not necessarily the market or even the starting 5 although please he could replace freaking Radmanovich in a heartbeat and not screw up the team.

LAL doesn't need to break up this team. They are playing great.

Yeah but who's talking about breaking up the team?

Lamar will probably be gone next season if not mid year this year anyhow.

Re: LAL need to trade for McGrady

The Rockets are a contender in the Lakers' conference, do you really think Houston would make a major trade with them?
Memphis last year was understandable, because they suck, but Houston has a legit chance.
Last thing they'd want to do is trade McGrady to L.A.

Re: LAL need to trade for McGrady

If Houston is going to give T-Mac up, LA will have to let go some prime pieces. That's a breakup. I seriously doubt any exec will dare do what Memphis foolishly did last season.
