Re: LAL need to trade for McGrady

Well if I were the Rockets i'd take Bynum or Gasol...that's it. Yeah Tmac has had his injuries but trading him for Odom or any other role player is not worth it.

I also disagree about Battier not being a game changer...I saw when we played the game without Tmac and Battier and Artest BOTH on the floor. Wow...I can't wait until Tmac gets healthy(if?) and plays with those two. Battier was the main reason we whooped the Spurs that night when they were full healthy. He cameoff the bench to guard Manu or Mason...and in return he would post them up. He did all the little things and literally was the reason we won that game. Battier and Artest on the floor together really mucks things up for the other team. Also what he does mentally for the Rockets is enough in itself.

Also if the Lakers were in a clutch situation it would not work. Tmac is the man for the Rockets in clutch situations. I should find the article where Artest has to ask mcgrady if it's cool for him to take over in the clutch. So how would it work...down by 4 in the 4th with 2mins left? You can't have Kobe and Tmac on the floor...Tmac is just going to run up to the 3 point line a few times and chuck up a 3 that either you'll love him for or hate him for. I also disagree that Tmac needs the Lakers.

Tmac is pretty selfish. I don't expect him to want to go to L.A to be some Role guy brought in for extra scoring. You think about all the things he's said in interviews like "If we don't make it out of the playoffs...its on me!" and "Besides Yao I've never had nobody." he does have a ego. I think in the end he wants to be a focal point of a championship winning team. Although he said he would like to play with Kobe...I mean really I think a lot of players would love to also and don't take that as a foreshadow as he wants to play for the Lakers.

I also really disagree that he has to carry this team...when he's hurt most of the time and it ain't because he has to carry 11 other players. Yao shoulders as much responsibility and now so does Artest. He's been hurt and he hasn't been doing much this season to carry this team, in fact all our Role Players are doing everything. Guys like Scola, Landry, Brooks, and Hayes....yes Chuck Hayes. They are the reason for the Rockets Record right now, Tmac has had about 3 good games thus far. I'm not saying I don't like him, i'm just telling it how it is.

Yeah yeah go ahead and scoff, but at this point a coach like Phil is exactly what he needs. He also needs a player like Bean on his side who's been there and done that. He'd be a perfect 1b 2a option, especially since he loves to pass the ball around.

LA is going to depart with Odom at some point and the talent/fiscal tradeoff is worth it to them. It's not in the air or anything but I do think Tracy opened up the door at least by mentioning wanting to play with bean.

Mitch for all his criticisms at least believes in tall athletic players who can move faster than a turtles pace, and takes risks on players other than safe gambles.

Just a discussion topic but what do you think of the possibility?
KDRE. What tis this nonsense that you speak of? How dare you even think of breaking up my beloved Lakers with BROKEBACK McGRADY. You gotta love what the Lakers have going right now. To much chemistry for Kupchak to mess with right now. As Jim Jones says. The Lakers are "BAAAALLLLIINN!!

Why would the Lakers need to trade when they only lost 1 game so far?

Because obviously the Lakers need a clutch post-season performer who's never won a playoff series since they lost in the NBA Finals to a 66-win team!

Duh.

Lol, nice grammar. But yes, T-Mac has "risen" or even raised his game in the playoffs.

Lakers don't need anything, though. A team that is the probably the favorite to win it all this year doesn't need anything. This is like saying Bill Gates needs a Bentley. It'd be nice for him if he had one but he doesn't need it to be honest.

Sorry, grammar police. Should I have said "raised"?

I didn't know that someone who hasn't won a playoff series could provide clutch production for the Lakers though.

OMG, you left out a comma in between the words "one" and "but" and left it in a run-on sentence!!!

lol, nice grammar.

Basketball is a team sport. Also Tmac not getting out the first round is much more than just "He's not clutch."
