Re: LAL need to trade for McGrady

For Tracy's side of it, he still sees himself as a rival of Bryant's. He knows he isn't exactly the same level of player, but he believes with the right pieces he has enough game to take it from Kobe. I don't think he wants to give that up.

As a Laker fan, I think Tracy brings offense, and the Lakers have the most offense in the league right now, so his addition would be redundant. If I were to take a Rocket, I'd rather have Shane Battier. No joke.

It's not a fact that Odom will be gone this year. He's been vital off the bench.

ec, I said probably be gone.

Houston isnt going to do jack. They'll win games and flame out of the playoffs for the same reasons. They dont have a makeup for a team that has taken a ring in the past 20 years.

and lamar being vital is news to me the way people out here halfway burn him at the stake everytime they lose.

Welcome to now then Dre! He hasn't been 6th man of the year great, but he's taken a lot of pressure off Farmar/Ariza. They're all doing stellar off the pine, it's a result of Odom IMO.

Tracy would be redundant to LA?

Besides Kobe, who can you say could raise their game in the playoffs to the level he has?

Look at the finals and for you to make this statement is laughable.

Would you feel that way if you traded McGrady for Kobe? McGrady for Lebron?

There biggest problem in the finals was interior softness and defense off the bench, problems all solved by the new rotation which is the result of the return of Bynum and Ariza.

This year??

hmmm

Yes and No

Its not a matter of McGradys ability in the sense that he didnt show up at all, but his teammates arent there. undersized PF's, guards who can't shoot, a streaky streetballer PG who wont stop shooting like an all star although he's in his career best 30+% and gets burned to a crisp by tough PGs

Bron could score 30 or 40 in a game against the Jazz with this team and still lose. Same for Kobe

but McGrady is not the guy who can carry the kind of load a LeBron can night in and out anymore. The biggest issue is no athleticism on that team, and noone can create their own shot except maybe Aaron Brooks.
