Clippers Acquire Randolph for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley

The Clippers have acquired forward Zach Randolph and guard Mardy Collins from the New York Knicks for shooting guard Cuttino Mobley and forward Tim Thomas.


Talks between the two teams have been ongoing over the past two weeks, and the Clippers made their last offer this afternoon.


Earlier in the week, talks stalled when the Knicks wanted Marcus Camby in the deal.

Zach was playing pretty well...but, long term, he was a bad fit.

If you have the chance to get out of his deal, you have to do it IMO.

Clippers have really risked a lot here...Baron Davis for a long term, Camby, Zach can go off the rails at any moment.

It's potentially a disaster long term.

WOW great trade for New York on both trades. They will have money to offer 2 Max Contracts in 2010....They gonna get 1 or 2 of the top 5 free agents IMO.
