Could "Gametime" w/ Ahmad, GP, and Webber be just as good as Inside the NBA?

So NBATV has a programmed called "Gametime" that goes over all of the games played in the night. While Inside the Nba only comes on during Thursdays when they air games, I believe. Gametime comes on every night.

Last night they had Gary Peyton, Chris Webber, and Ahmad Rashad as the hosts. I found the three of them to be pretty damn entertaining.

Now I don't know if the three of them will be the hosts every night, but I couldn't help but to compare them to Ernie, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley. The similarity between them is there.

So from those who've seen the show, what do you think about it? And for those who haven't seen it, I encourage you to watch it on NBA TV after, or during the games that come on at night. I also think that it comes on first thing in the morning.

Those guys had me and my girlfriend cracking up last night.

C-Webb and GP are pretty good. I don't think they are on every night though. A few times I've flipped on the channel it has been Cheryl Miller and Steve Smith. I can't stand Cheryl Miller.

I'm curious to see what similarities you seen in the two because I couldn't find any...

No way...Ernie is the consummate professional and Sir Charles is the perfect fit for comic relief. I love Charles Barkley's candor. Kenny Smith can kinda get on my nerves sometimes, but he usually has some decent analysis.

I can't stand Gary Payton.

mmm, they are fun to watch but Charles Ernie and Kenny are much more loose, say whatever, do whatever and generally have more fun than anything.

Its nice to try to get some of that going on, on NBATV but its hard to match what TNT has done.

I remember last night they had a segment where they were comparing a side by side picture of SHAQ and Dwight.

SHAQ had his arm up in the picture showing his "Superman" tattoo. Dwight had the picture of him in his Superman costume from last year's dunk contest.

Ahmad asked them, "Who's the real Superman?"

They both said SHAQ.

Then they put up a picture of Jordan, to which Ahmad says, "Ok...So if SHAQ is superman, who is he?"

GP quickly responds, "That's Jesus!"

GP and CWebb have some nice chemistry reminds me a lot of Kenny and Chuck. NBATV is a lot better than it was last year with TNT running the production now.

The NBA Gametime seemed to me like a poor man's version of Inside the NBA, still good and fun to watch but not near what Barkley, Ernie, and Kenny do.

I think the show is great.

They don't need Ahmad Rashad though. He's the worst TV host around. Just jocks every major star like there is no tomorrow.
