Krstic is going overseas if the Nets can't pull off a S&T by midnight tonight, which they wont.

Fan favorite. Sucks to see him go.

It was clear that something was going to be done because we have logjams at SF and PG.

Balkman will do well in Karl's system and now with Camby gone, he's the only defensive presence they have outside of a healthy Nene.

Bittersweet feeling as I like Balkman but it's good to see the Knicks making moves.

PG has to be next.

Im not a knicks fan but i think donnie is a le douch'e. I think this is a move to make up him being greedy n not taking the clips offer and dumping z-BO.

Also this move is a crappy move unless that 2nd rounder ends up a stud...which in a lot of cases (seeing that denver will still be competitive n not be a top 10 lottery) wont be.

LOS ANGELES -- The Clippers continued their offseason makeover Monday, signing veteran swingman Ricky Davis to a multiyear contract.
Sources told ESPN.com's Chad Ford that the deal was for two years, $4.7 million with an opt out clause for Davis after his first year.

Davis

Davis, an unrestricted free agent who turns 29 in September, averaged 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while playing in all 82 games for the Miami Heat last season. He shot 43.3 percent from the floor, 40.5 percent on 3-pointers and 78.7 percent from the foul line.
"With his ability to score and shoot from the outside, it's really going to open up the floor for us, particularly our low-post players," Los Angeles general manager Elgin Baylor said. "He can score from outside, he can score from inside. He's versatile; he can play [shooting guard], he can play [small forward].
"He's been terrific coming off the bench, instant offense. That's up to the coach [(Mike Dunleavy] to decide, how he's going to use him. Most likely, he'll come off the bench. That's been his strength."
The 6-foot-7 Davis has averaged 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 31.1 minutes in his career. He was chosen with the 21st overall pick of the 1998 draft by the Charlotte Hornets after one year at Iowa, where he averaged 15.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Davis had his best season with the Cleveland Cavaliers five years ago, averaging 20.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 79 games.
Earlier this month, the Clippers added two starters, signing point guard Baron Davis to a five-year, $65 million contract and acquiring forward-center Marcus Camby in a trade from the Denver Nuggets. Al Thornton, Chris Kaman and Cuttino Mobley figure to be the other starters next season, with Davis playing a key role off the bench.
Among the projected reserves besides Davis are Tim Thomas, Jason Hart and first-round draft pick Eric Gordon. The Clippers acquired Hart from Utah last month for Brevin Knight in a swap of backup point guards.
Unrestricted free agents Elton Brand and Corey Maggette left the Clippers. Brand signed with Philadelphia, and Maggette went to Golden State.
I don't know if somebody said that Ricky Buckets is a Clipper, but the Clips just got a little bette (not much)

Flashes great talent but habitual underachiever who finds ways to lower expectations every year

The Clippers offer to the Knicks was highway robbery.

Denver will not make the playoffs.

Why does everyone forget about or slight Kenyon Martin -- the guy has the strongest/fastest hands in the league (just rips the ball away) and is a great man defender. He and Nene will be a nice defensive frontcourt -- if both stay healthy, Denver will be better than people expect. I think everyone's forgotten how good Nene can be when he's at full-strength -- dude runs the floor, posts up, he worked on his jumper a lot when he wasn't able to practice, and he's just a monster of a man (6'11" 265 or so). And remember how he gave Duncan trouble in the playoffs in 2007? I can't wait to see what he does this year/

While I have a Knicks fan here, what should I be expecting from Balkman? I've watched maybe 3 Knicks-related games when they weren't playing the Nuggets, so I didn't see much of Balkman. I remember that he usually locked 'Melo down pretty well with his length/strength, so that'll be nice to have. Also, he's a nasty dunker and a solid rebounder -- is that basically it? He can play the 4 right?

The Charlotte Bobcats have agreed in principle on a six-year contract worth at least $72 million with restricted free agent Emeka Okafor.

Okafor

General manager Rod Higgins confirmed the agreement Tuesday to local reporters, saying that he expects the contract to be completed "in the next few days" after an ESPN.com report said the sides had made significant progress in the past week and were on the verge of a deal.

The agreement with Okafor by far represents Charlotte's biggest expenditure on one player as the club readies for its fifth season. Okafor turned down a five-year deal with a similar $12 million annual average before last season, preferring to wait for restricted free agency.

"It was very important for us to get a deal done," Higgins told The Associated Press. "He creates a sense of security around the basket for us. He's a guy that I think his skills are still developing in a lot of ways. Having Larry [Brown] as our head coach now, Emeka will benefit having a great coach to teach him."
D@mnit Okafor is still in Charlotte
