I am not mad at it.... just dissapointed

I will say this anybody trying to downplay Chris by comparing his season to Nash or any recent PG performance go ahead with the B.S. Not only did he average 20/10 but he led the NBA in steals something Nash wont sniff in his career.

Its also BS if you think Kobe deserved it because he should have gotten it the last two years. Honestly Kobe won this award in the last week of the season when he BEAT the Hornets and Spurs on the way to the #1 seed. So Congrats KB hopefully you can enjoy your trophy and we can enjoy the Finals

Should've been Co-MVP.

I was just gonna say that. If Hornets had beat LA Paul would of been MVP. That's pretty unfair cuz the Hornets held the number 1 spot the longest of any team in the west til th last week or so of the season.

Paul got robbed. Kobe is the best player in the league but he wouldn't be where he is now without Pau.

Paul wouldn't be where he was without the improved play of Tyson Chandler and David West. People act like Paul plays with scrubs. Kobe was the MVP.

This really doesn't mean a whole lot. Does it mean anything if a team is winning the the whole game and loses at the last second? Or if a team has the best record the whole season and dominates in the playoffs and loses in the Finals? Or how about a team that finishes with the best record in the league and has the MVP and loses in the first round? The end result is what matters and the fact is the Lakers FINISHED #1.

Re: Kobe Selected as 2008 MVP

Kobe is only getting the award because they say Paul has a longer future in the NBA. His stats and the fact that the Hornets have never been good since their LJ/Alonzo days, and even then they were good but not great. Its sad that Kobe gets the nod for MVP based on past performance.

Not really. If the media wouldn't have been riding Shaq's penis, Kobe would have won the 06 and 07 MVPs, and Paul would have won it this year.

But I'm not sure being #2 in the league in points, the #1 seed in the West, and being the best player on the planet is a set of criteria that doesn't deserve the MVP.

He averaged 28.3/6.3/5.4/1.84. Unless you have Jordan's 87 or 89 season, I don't think there's been a season where Kobe's year wouldn't have been a top 2 or 3 year. It's not like he averaged 23/4/4 and won it.

Ummm...the Hornets were a good team last year. They have pretty much the same team as last year. The main difference is that, this year their main guys didn't have injury problems. Peja missed 69 games last year and West missed 30. Look at how they played this year with those guys healthy. It's pretty clear that they were a GOOD team last year, but they were just struck with the injury bug. If those guys missed that amount of games this year, they would've missed the playoffs this year too. No, I'm not saying that Chris Paul didn't elevate his play. Obviously, he did. I'm just pointing out to you that the Hornets WERE a GOOD team last year, they just had some serious injury problems.

When LA won that game Mike Wilbon and all these other basketball analyst jumped on the kobe for mvp wagon. That's the truth.

Im not saying Kobe didn't deserve it im saying cp3 just had a better year.

I dont like this arguement that well kobe didn't win it b4 so he should win it now?? what is that??

Anyway i agree with most ppl there should of been atleast a co-mvp but that means the votes would of had to been tied for 1.
