Re: Kobe Selected as 2008 MVP

But did not Beucher get all his info from Kobe himself KDRE? So was he not saying what Kobe wanted to say but could not?

Re: Kobe Selected as 2008 MVP

That's what Beucher said. From the looks of it, ESPN tried to trade Kobe the entire off season. Now they're riding his hanes.

What really tipped me off about how terrible they are about news is, they never get trades before they happen like other sources, and at one point one of their guys was trying to report trades from a third party source. If they're the leader in sports, why are they relying on third party sources for news?

Don't get me wrong, I believe Kobe the crybaby (in the summer) used Beucher the tool to say what he wanted in the summer, but once he shut up, ESPN kept the garbage going, even when Kobe wised up and kept quiet.

The trade fiascal was a much larger monster than it should've been because they ran rampant for news they didn't really have. What Beucher said was just as bad as Jack Haley's "it's a done deal Carlos Boozer is now a Laker" statement.

Sometimes I wonder if that "report" by Haley got him canned from Fox. It's like he just disappeared LMAO. I liked his analysis though, he had his moments. Haley>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Norm Nixon. But that Boozer thing was ridiculous.

It was the Boozer thing that got him canned.

I see where you are coming from in reguards to ESPN KDRE. I would agree with you about ESPN as a news source nowdays. Many other websites get the scoop sooner than they do and the only thing they do is try to make it bigger. Sure most people might not see it from other sources so for them ESPN is the news breaker, but they have fallen off what they were before. I hate it when they also claim to be the first to break the news when they are clearly not.

An aging point guard who can't shoot is exactly what you don't need in the triangle...anybody with any basketball IQ would know that...but Kobe didn't...

If you watched Bynum play for 5 minutes you could easily tell that the kid is extremely athletic and has fly paper for hands...if you would just develop him for a year or two he would be great (like he was this year)...but Kobe couldn't see that...

Also, he get's extra "I'm dumb" points for actually wanting to be traded and not realizing that anyplace he went was going to put him in the exact same position he was in with the lakers, because they were going to take the other teams 3 or 4 best players for him. If he went to the bulls, they lakers would get hinrich, gordon, and deng at least, then possibly Nocioni or Thomas. If he went to the mavs the lakers would get Dirk, Howard, Harris, and maybe even Terry. So no matter where he went he was going to be left playing with scrubs...but he was too dumb to realize it...

Throughout his career, he's done some pretty boneheaded things, but these to really stand out. Here's hoping he never get's a GM job when he retires, or he make give Isiah a run for his money
Kobe's a woman, that's why. He has female emotional tendencies. That's not hard to tell. It's pretty obvious. You see it on the court and off. I don't know if it's just him or if growing up well off made him that way (ala Chris Webber). There's a difference between being not satisfied...and being a bitch. And Kobe...well...it seems like he needs a tampon sometimes.

That being said, I don't think he is dumb or stupid. And yes, let us all hope that he stays out of basketball after he retires. Especially as a coach. He would give Larry Brown a push for most traveled.

No Sixer should be buddy-buddy with a Laker.

No i didn't...why i do believe that lebron a bit (i mean....0.00000001) more important to his team...in this one single instance i would give the nod to chris paul...

Without lebron, the cav's could still challenge for the 8th seed in the east...they just need to win 37 games, or around 44% of there games... so with lebron they are what, the 4th seed, and without lebron they could at least challenge for the 8th seed...

Take chris paul off the hornets...and they don't make the playoffs... they go from being what, the second seed, to completely out of the playoffs... larger drop off than the cavs

Since the drop off is greater for the hornets...IN THIS ONE SINGLE INSTANCE...i would give it to paul over lebron...

Basically i look at it as every year this is lebrons award to loose...and this year chris paul actually took it from him...

Kinda of thought people would have understood that...i guess i gave you guys to much credit...

The Cavs sans Bron couldn't challenge for an 8th seed in the NCAA's, let alone the NBA postseason.
