Because, let's face it, if he didn't start all this drama in the off-season they would have never made any moves and would have just settled for having the seat-selling Kobe show. Fans are something else though, a few months ago "BOOOOOO" now "MVP!! MVP!! MVP!!" LMAO
The boos were not mainly for Kobe but for their discontent with the front office.

BTW, why the do you care? You a Laker fan? You live here in L.A.?

Damn man, why are you so vested in this, just let it be.

Trust me, I will not be in a Knicks thread commenting on their fans or their players because I can care less.

I only care about the Lake show.

BTW, they presented the award to him at Staples Center tonight with a pretty tight intro and ended it with him dunking past Kirelenko in Utah and yelling at the crowd in that last game they had at Energy Solutions....lol

It was pretty nice

Co-sign...

Forget winning...the cav's can't score 80 points without lebron...

And I also agree with the "Best Player on the Best Team Award" bit...

I would have given the award to Chris Paul...that team is not very good without him...in there last few games Pargo has been pretty good running the point...but for the majority of the season when Chris Paul came out that team flat out died...

You just contradicted yourself not only once, but twice, in the same post.

Kobe is not a genius...in fact he is an idiot who doesn't have an eye for talent...

Example...he wanted to trade Bynum for Kidd...

An aging point guard who can't shoot is exactly what you don't need in the triangle...anybody with any basketball IQ would know that...but Kobe didn't...

If you watched Bynum play for 5 minutes you could easily tell that the kid is extremely athletic and has fly paper for hands...if you would just develop him for a year or two he would be great (like he was this year)...but Kobe couldn't see that...

Also, he get's extra "I'm dumb" points for actually wanting to be traded and not realizing that anyplace he went was going to put him in the exact same position he was in with the lakers, because they were going to take the other teams 3 or 4 best players for him. If he went to the bulls, they lakers would get hinrich, gordon, and deng at least, then possibly Nocioni or Thomas. If he went to the mavs the lakers would get Dirk, Howard, Harris, and maybe even Terry. So no matter where he went he was going to be left playing with scrubs...but he was too dumb to realize it...

Throughout his career, he's done some pretty boneheaded things, but these to really stand out. Here's hoping he never get's a GM job when he retires, or he make give Isiah a run for his money

Did anyone actually think Kobe was going to be traded?

I did. I mean Ric Bucher said he would never wear a Lakers jersey again so I took it as a done deal.

Do you not realize that Kobe has best contract in the Nba, he can trade block, veto etc.... Did you really think hes gunna go to a team without another player there to help him out. Kobe wasnt gunna go to the bulls unless Deng stayed there God knows why he wants him as his scottie pippen. And he if was traded to the mavs u know Josh Howard would definitely stayed there.
Kobe wanted Kidd last year cause he actually wanted to do something in the playoffs and try to combat the Suns speed with more speed. Granted Kidd cant shoot he always been a good rebounder and a assist man.
I dont think kobe has any intention of playing past the age of 34 or 35 so doing wat he can to get another ring.
