I don't know if its that more than the confusion about the criteria.

Let's be honest here, the MVP award was pretty arguable whoever had won it, so there is little room to argue the anti such and such here, whether its small market or the player.

The problem here isn't the players, its the voters.

I'd argue the problem is the NBA not having a defined criteria.

Oh they do, its just different every year. This year was the exception because they didnt know what they wanted to do so they were flip flopping on the fly.

LOL.
And that wraps up this thread.

But it's Kobe Bryant, which means that people want something to bitch about since it's a massive conspiracy.

I agree to an extent. There's always those people who will knock Kobe.. but CP3 definitely deserved it as much as Kobe this year. A co-MVP would have been perfect.. though I don't recall the last time the league did that. Anyway, should be nice to see him get the trophy tomorrow night.. and to hear his speech this afternoon.

Re: Kobe Selected as 2008 MVP

I don't think Kobe really deserves the MVP, but this year, the only other serious candidate is LBJ, and you can't really give the MVP award to the lead player on the #4 team in the East. Chris Paul really shouldn't win it because Scott won Coach of the Year. As for Garnett, it is questionable whether or not he is the MVP of his team. As much as I don't like Kobe, I think the voters got it right.

So if Phil Jackson won coach of the year Jordan shouldnt have won MVP
