Greg Anthony actually does know what he's talking about.

Re: Greg Anthony and Stephen A. Smith on NBA Shootaround

I happened to catch it live. They were arguing about what Jermaine O'Neal said. Anthony was defending O'Neal more so than Smith. Stephen A. was more on the stance that the younger players need to articulate things better and they really don't understand this issue completely, or something along those lines. I don't want anyone to misquote me on it. That's basically what I gathered from the argument. Yes, it was pretty heated. I'm a little surprised John Saunders didn't step in sooner. Anthony looked pretty ticked at Stephen A.

I couldn't agree more, I hate when Stephen A. Smith goes toe to toe with Anthony because he always ends up almost making it seem like he owns him...but I always side with Anthony, I trust that as a fromer player in the NBA that he knows what he is talking about when it comes to things directly dealing with NBA players like this age limit...what background does Stephen A. Smith have to make him such an "authority" on the NBA?? Cuz he talks to players and gets the "inside scoop"...maybe on getting the low down on trades and stuff I'd trust him cuz of his contacts...but as far as on the court issues go I'm hearing and trusting Anthony.

Bullcrap. Greg Anthony was only siding with the "brothas". Plus, he's trying to get a GM job, so he's trying to get players on his side so they can maybe sign with whatever team he goes to.

Anthony was always known as someone that was a big proponent of players getting a college education. Now all of a sudden, that flew out the window? Please. He's such a fake.

Just because you don't like the guy does not mean he doesn't know his stuff. Stephen A. knows what the hell he is talking about. He's a blowhard, but he knows his stuff. And he was absolutely right about what he said. I bet Jermaine O'Neal STILL couldn't explain why the age limit is racist.
