That Nats just won't ****ing lose. I don't see them giving up the lead. The Braves have played very well lately and only managed to lose ground.

Washington will win it, because they just don't lose games.

I picked Washington to win before the season started and I'm not changing it.

Re: NL East, who wins it?

Nationals.

Even though they are going to shut strasburg down, it doesn't really matter at this point. They still have Gio, Zimmerman and Jackson. Plus, all the momentum is built up in their favor and I just don't see anyone in that lineup cooling down.

While the Braves patched up rotation is impressive, I think they really needed to get that ace caliber arm during the deadline and they didn't.

That's what I told myself in 08 about the Rays. And it didn't die out. They kept winning. I think it'll be the same here.

Bottom line, I think it's really going to get interesting down to the end.

The Nats have to have a slump sometime, right? Right?!?

I'm not sure it really matters though. Assuming the Braves (or Nats) survive the knockout game, they'll face each other in the division series.

Nationals take the division, Braves get the #1 WildCard spot. I think the Braves go all the way to the Series, too.

This offense isn't even built around Harper. The additions in July of getting Morse and Werth back help a great bit. Plus, the emergence of LaRoche and Desmond, plus Zimmermann and Espinosa getting hot help too.

Even with Strasburg being shut down, Gonzalez and Zimmerman can handle the load. And that bullpen with Storen back and Clippard closing out games is critical too. The Nationals have withstood a lot of injuries this year and still have the best record in baseball.

Not to take anything away from Atlanta, they will be there in October but Washington will win the division.

Re: NL East, who wins it?

This team has always worried me for years.... even before acquiring Werth. They just needed the pitching. Well.... the rest goes without saying.
